I'm saying it's the exaggerated painting style the Eavy Metal team does. But if you want to see something, sooner or later you will.
It’s pretty clear they’re trying to do different ethnicities, not so sure about women though. Their painting style usually messes things up - I’m not sure why but a lot of their models look way better once you see them painted by someone else.
It wasn’t always that way, just seems to be something that’s cropped up over the last decades or so.
It may or may not be readily available - always hard to know with GW - but almost certainly safe to say that it will be expensive.
Last time I saw people get excited about a Warhammer Quest which felt like classic Warhammer Quest it was Cursed City…
I can't say the new one grabs me like the Cursed City reveal did. May change when we see more, but Cursed City had such a classic fantasy setting, and the box art was stylish.
This one seems at once a bit more generic art-wise (and hero wise), whilst also somehow being less of a classic setting.

I'm mostly optimistic. We only have the cover and a very brief description to go by, and the cover is not the game.

Looks to be around 8 heroes, like last time. Slightly fewer minis it looks like, but CC had a lot of tiny little guys. A lot fewer dice shown, suggesting maybe some different action mechanic than last time. Also, the maps might be in a book you go through instead of being modular? So maybe more emphasis on the campaign than random play?

What was the point in that? Frankly such advertising shenanigans piss me off more than intrigue me. Just show us what it comes with already.

It seems like they knew that a small promo image had “got out there” and tried to make a joke out of it. It just comes off as stupid though.
I agree that it pisses me off more than giving me any kind of intrigue about the game or the models.
Who in their right mind decides that the best marketing strategy for an upcoming product is to deliberately obfuscate what you actually get??? That gives me no confidence in it; just show a few models now then show the rest later or dive fully into the early PR now rather than try to tease it.
