Interesting. I had thought that Belladonna would be the only "kinky chaosette" new sculpt we'd get. I've got her much older sister somewhere.

It’s suspected to be the Boxing Day release.

Seems to be another in the line of the nostalgic collectors display pieces based on older sculpts like fat Slambo, Sly Marbo and the Noise Marine.

Upscaled a bit to fit better with modern aesthetics and fancily boxed all with an equally fat price tag.
Because “fancily boxed collectors display piece” obviously!!

For those watching at home, the Twitch stream has just begun.

Some information on the CGC from the updated website:

A cannibal sickness lurks at the heart of Necromunda, like a festering wound that will never truly heal. In the dark corners of the underhive, the Corpse Grinder Cults gathers weapons and recruits, whispering prayers to the Lord of Skin and Sinew. Fed on a diet of forbidden flesh, they rise up, spreading their rebellion into open warfare. In their wake, the taint of Chaos follows and hives descend into madness.
Formed from the toiling workers within the ranks of the Corpse Guild, the Cultists were once honest men who have seen too much horror in the corpse recycling plants or else those who are hungry for the power that the cult can offer. At the heart of the cult is the Harvest Lord who binds his followers together in devotion to the Lord of Meat.

The Corpse Grinder Cults have shown that tools designed to cut up dead bodies are just as good at cutting up living ones too. They can swarm their enemy with hordes of eager Initiates, who have the Infiltrate skill. Skinners are the equivalent of Gangers – they are absolutely lethal in close combat and are even more dangerous when they are on the charge. The Cult can go in hard by tooling up the elite Cutters and Butchers to easily tear through those who have yet to see the light of the Chaos Gods with brutal weapons that can take out enemy fighters in a single attack. The whole gang want nothing more than to tear apart anyone who opposes their rebellion – blood will be spilt for the Lord of Skin and Sinew.

With a range of truly brutal close-combat weapons to choose from, the Corpse Grinder Cults do their best work up-close and personal. From the rotary flensing saw to the butcher’s chain cleaver, they have all the tools you need to give glory to the Lord of Skin and Sinew. Make sure that you make the most of cover on the way in though, as you’re not going to win in a straight-up firefight. The only members of the gang that can take shooting weapons are the Initiates, so make sure that you Infiltrate them into areas where they can keep enemy heads down while the rest of your Cult advance. Then the Initiates can join in the fun with their boning swords.

A few of those scenario titles may suggest some scenarios worth stealing into regular campaigns [and even converting over to ORB scenario rules, really, for those of us that ... somehow ... don't have enough ... er ... scenarios to ... choose from ... er]. "Public Execution"? "Propaganda"? "Blood Rites"? "Demonic Possession"?

Looks like it might be possible to take your house gang into a chaos cult or genestealer infection - at least that's my guess for pg8-12 .

The one page campaigns are probably flavor text that makes minor changes to the main uprising campaign, let's you represent different flavours of rising.

Dramatis personae are once again scattered across the book. They got it right once so far... why do they keep doing that?

Looks like there are page references to rules in dark uprising, suggesting you might need the book and therefore box to play uprising properly.....

Pics for the pics god!

GSC/Chaos corrupted gangs (apparently, bona fide GSC/Chaos cult gangs still exist in addition to those):

It says that in a Law and Misrule campaign, these gangs start aligned to Misrule... WTF is that? There is no such "misrule alignment" in BoJ, they are called Outlaws. They changed it here? BoJ is so much Gang War that it is outdated ALREADY? My head hurts...

Mixed feeling for the CGC.

For the big dude, they have a chucnky list of CC weapon, but it look like the one included in the kit is the best (and most expensive one), they're still boring regardless, kit is better with a 4th weapon choice like a Heavy rock cutter (since the one we can convert have ugly GSC hand attached), and a few 1 handed knife for cheaper build option. (yea yea knife is easy to convert, so it isn't important)

For the small dudes, they'd be better with a CGC-made Harpoon launcher in the kit (instead of having to steal one from Orlock). These aren't "juve". They're tactical fighter, with grenade, trap and harpoom,. And probably is the most important factor for this gang.

In conclusion ..... *cue FW expansion pack anthem*..... with (still overpriced) flamers... of course.

It's now very important to know whether this new wording means CGC and Enforcers can't get equipment from the Trading post/Black market, as it completely changes what weapons CGC can get during a campaign.

So, paired weapons get a discount if you take two of them... ok. Not that many true options on this list then.

I wonder if there is any rules to prevent you from swapping masks around (give any piece of wargear to the butcher and you can get their mask in the stash, then give it to a cutter in exchange for their mask, etc.)
Also, there doesn't seem to be any way to purchase masks, so if you can promote fighters to cutter (or one gets promoted to leader), they won't have the corresponding mask.

"a maximum of 0-3 Champions" is some weird wording. Either say you can have 0-3, or a maximum of 3... Also, first gang to have a hard cap on champions?

Initiates being a requirement to get more skinners (who are supposed to be gangers equivalent) is weird. Guess the WHC messed up on that one. Also, why "other" skinners? Are initiates skinners? Or is it just a failed copy/paste of the usual "other fighters"?

No cap on the number of permanent +1M you can get from Slaughterborn is terrifying. Use Stimm-slug stash + Overseer to sling your guy for their first charge, and then they'll soon be able to teleport anywhere on the battlefield. Other skills look like filler.

Is it RAI that Bloodlust works on any Coup de grâce? Or is it only supposed to let you double dip when you get a free CdG in CC?

Wait... the Book of Ruin doesn't have the full rules for the Uprising campaign? Only additional scenarios and variants? Am I understanding this right? Is the Dark Uprising rulebook necessary to use half the content from this book? 🤨

They are just extra rule anyway, not like you can't use them for any campaign.

The campaign didn't seem like a very ground breaking one to me anyway, Andy said no trading post rule (we knew why) because no time for shopping when you want to overthrow the gorverment?????.

RAW Enforcers also have a similar hard cap of 0-2 on Sergeants (Champions) I believe.

It's quite odd.

The exact line is "Additionally, the gang may include 0-2 Champions (Palanite Sergeants)". It lacks the 'at gang creation' caveat, and seems to also preclude you having Subjugator Sergeants at founding (though it's listed as an 'upgrade' from Palanite for the other unit types, so that's also a bit ambiguous).

But, that rule is clearly listed as a sub-section of another rule, the "Compulsory minimum of two Gangers when founded:" line. So, are all the rules in that sub-section intended to be "when founded"? I've certainly played it that way, but there's surely an argument to be made that the limit is intentional.

A chaos lord special character... and of course he is a bounty hunter... why wouldn't he be?

Well it works if you think of it as more of a 'mechanical classification' of his 'work', than a him being someone actually hunting outlaws for guilder/enforcer bounties, especially since he is an Outlaw bounty hunter (it would sound better if you called Outlaw bounty hunters Head hunters or Executioners)

Yep, contrary to what they said last week, you need the Uprising box for the applicable campaign.

Not cool, GW.
