Don't forget today from Warhammer Live:

"On Thursday, we’re checking out some of the more advanced rules for Necromunda. At 4:00 pm, Andy Hoare and Mark Bedford from the studio will be showing us how to set up a 3D battlefield, while at 5:00 pm, Owen Barnes will be sharing some of his top tips and tricks from the game. Finishing the day at 6:00 pm, we’ll be demonstrating the Beastman bounty hunter Gor Half-Horn in a battle between the Goliaths and the Eschers!"

For those who wanted a better view at the sprues, here is the Goliath one (from the Underhive FB page):

I suppose the Escher will be there tomorrow.

I would be interested to hear what Andy's thoughts are on some rules for possibly using the tunnel tiles in conjunction with a 3d battlefield. Rules for how many entrances and if gangs in possession of a tunnel territory get a bonus.

I always understood that the Goliaths didn't like women in their gang except as bed warmers, and that is one of the reasons the Eschers is at war with them, plus if the Goliaths have female gangs then I guess the Eschers can have a male ganger.

Well that's... underwhelming. Useful for making access holes if your fighters are in a tight spot though, however there is a moderate chance of shafting yourself by playing it.

In the White Dwarf interview Andy talks about plans to make hanger-ons and how "Your base might get raided by a rival gang and some of your Hanger-on might be around when it happens. They're pretty rubbish fighting, so if your opponent can catch them and take them out of action that's a pretty big deal because it could deny you access to their special abilities for a while."

I remember in the Junktion book some background description of one of the towns having a hoochie girl house. The Goliaths could have a hoochie girl hanger-on that could be a hell of a crack shot and give your gang leader a cool bonus. Maybe if she gets captured, your entire Goliath gang would suffer a penalty hit to their cool stat for a duration.

In regards to what Stoof mentioned, that card does sound rather underwhelming.
Edit: If that is just a tremor I'm interested to see if/what the rules for a quake would be.

@maxwellrpower Congratulations on your bonny new arrival sir, hope the lack of sleep didn't bugger you up for forklifting too bad.. I see you've been Liking many of my photos in my original album I posted a few months ago, but have you seen my more recent updated album 'WIP Necro Dome'? Much more proper Necro going on there :)
Just checked and you have indeed seen said album before, but there are many better shots of my terrain and full gang shots now :)

Well it seem that what one of the designers were doing was making a female Goliath ganger/fighter not hanger-on.

If your are playing Escher vs Goliath, you get 1D3 ductways and 1D3 loot caskets you can place wherever you want, plus about half of the enemy gang pinned at the cost of 2~3 pinned fighters of yours. How is that underwhelming? :cautious:

Goliath's motto is "Might makes right". Most Goliath females are probably weaker than the males, but a few are bound to be stronger than your typical ganger (if not champion/leader) and ambitious/stubborn enough to crack a few skulls in order to get their application seriously examined. I don't expect Goliaths to have as many female gangers as Orlock or Van Saar, but they certainly could have a few.

For the record, I've always thought 'scragging' to be to swiftly and brutally take someone out of action in close combat, with an element of outnumberring/surprise/unnecessary malice such as ear-taking/hamstringing/throat-slitting.
If a Goliath just punches say an Orlock's face off with one punch, that's not scragging.
If 3 Eschers sneak up, surround, distract, rush and kidney-stab a Goliath with their poison knives, that's a good ol' scragging.

Where are the 2D6 carrion bats, 2D6 giant rats, and every ganger having to pass an initiative test or be hit by falling spine crystals? :p
