N18 New Player - Enforcer List

Hey folks,

Brand new to the hobby, friend of mine starting a campaign with the following lists

Genestealer cult
Ash Nomads
Chaos cultists
Escher
Palanite enforcer- me

Trying to pin down my starting list so I know how to assemble my kit, any advice would be greatly appreciated as I know almost nothing about how this works.

First list is stronger, id be inclined to reconsider all the shields to get some more dakka instead, a grenade launcher will serve you better than a shield

On the model front if you have a model drill and patience in matching polarity consider using small magnets ( 2mm by 1mm discs work for me) to magnetise the arms. You use most or even all the different weapons on the sprues so they do not sit in the bitz box forever and you can swap out as needed when you settle on your favourite loadout. Plus the deep sockets and the gw obsession with shoulder pads hide any messiness well.
Both lists have potential. I think your first list is a little stronger. Depending on which campaign model you are playing the enforcers may struggle on income. The Dominion campaign in particular where they do not hold territory and earn regular income springs to mind. Your gang may have great equipment but it does cost a lot and replacing or growing the squad can be challenging.

Shields look cool and are helpful extra protection, but 50cr at creation when you're already short on bodies and some of your fighters don't have anything better than a Stubgun probably isn't your best buy. I'd wait on the shields until everyone has a long gun of some sort. Contrary to popular belief, Palanites are a shooting gang, not a close combat gang.
