Hello everyone,

As the title reads I am a brand new player to Necromunda. I have my only Van Saar gang, still in box, that I haven’t put together yet. I’m still learning/reading the rules right now.

If there is a group nearby, the location listed in title, that wouldn’t mind helping me learn the game that would be great. I understand Covid is making things a bit difficult at times to meet right now but if anyone has any suggestions as well that would be appreciated.

Hey there @The Sloth King - welcome to the tribe first of all!

I've been a bit guilty of not checking in as of late (real life, yadda yadda blah blah) so it feels appropriate to me that I get to welcome you here as my sort of return to paying a bit more attention (kids going back to school helps!)

Secondly, I think that the best way to use this place in your context is to get a group started rather than to try and find a group. You're kind of in that catch 22 where you want to play and want a group to join and there are probably others looking, but whats lacking might be someone starting a group.

So I'd consider creating a group, getting on to facebook, twitter, instagram and all that other social media blah blah to hunt down other PLAYERS in the area you're in and setting up a hub here on the tribe- the resources are great for players looking to try or return to the game so all you really need is a table, terrain and a willingness to play a game to get the ball rolling. Things like Necromunda groups have a certain gravity about themselves that attract other players (probably the need for bloody revenge because someone blinded your favourite ganger) so it can grow quite easily as long as you talk about it in all of the public spheres with hashtags and so on.

Now, I think that setting yourself up a little advertisement schedule is q quick and easy task and will take about 5 minutes. The content will take more time, but at your end of the spectrum simple is better. Get some nice pics of your minis and scenery and make fun with them, really set the tone for the group you want to make (dark and funny? Not too beardy?) and get posting up.

For instance, I took this pic on some scenery for fun, but its also a good example of content that you can post to social media to attract attention to your intended group:

Just take some funky pics, people will like them and it'll gain a little traction and in turn you'll be able to have whilst growing your group.

Welcome to the Tribe!
