N18 New Rules Incoming

Goonhammer has a fairly deep dive into the changes:

Their explanation of si rolls makes sense and I immediately implemented it. Works well, I approve. Things die fast though.

hmm, stray shots might be the best way of shooting the Corpse Grinder Cult. Send a juve out towards a CGC fighter and have another juve shoot his bro in the back with his crappy BS and miss!! Then roll to see if it hits the CGC fighter. Hmm, I think the statistics for hitting the CGC fighter are actually higher that way. Is this viable or are you not allowed to target your own bubas?

You can't target your own fighters.

you can target your own fighters if they were looking at you funny , or coming right at you:whistle:

In some other (probably sump-side) discussion, @MusingWarboss reminded me that the sump seas were part of the long-term Necromunda product roadmap. I wonder if this latest apocrypha article is going to be the extent of the sump sea setting; or is this a "teaser" for the next overpriced and poorly planned boxed set? Given how disappointing Cash Wastes was, I really hope the free apocrypha article is all they do for sump seas.

I had expected it to be the next big boxed set for them, much like Ash Wastes.

I guess this does the job but it’s odd to just pop it out there like an after thought.

Are those tribemeet rules in the vault?
Think this is the TribeMeet 2021 campaign rules:

Picture for posterity that YakTribe covers these ideas before GW does!

We just need to figure out "arctic climate" and "space station" rules, but not to worry; we've got plenty of time given how long Cash Wastes took.

Maybe this will be my excuse to create delaque mounted on flying sharks or eels...
Unfortunately I didn't see any rules for mounting sharks or eels.

Edit: sorry I was wrong, they mention mounts can be anything waterborne, so yes you can have delaque riding sharks and eels. Are there rules in the book of the outlands for mounts that can bite?

Best thing about this is I now have vehicle rules for ash wastes.

The old school campaign format in the new rulebook alongside gangs of the Underhive looks like it could be a pretty fun way to play.
The only part of those rules that make me pause, is how some of those rules seem to interact with Enforcers and their gear.

"when a player is creating their gang they can only equip their fighters with common items from the trading post, and any items that are unique to their gang's house equipment list. All fighter's begin the campaign without armour, which does not alter their cost."

That feels really rough the way i'm reading it. That's 70 credits for a regular ganger that only starts with a stub gun and magnacles. Surprised they didn't say something like, "Cant buy armour as a starting option except from the trading post" or something.

Otherwise, it sounds like it'd be great fun starting with any core gang.

Id be inclined to make an exception for Enforcers, they're not gangers after all.

Armoured undersuits are not armour and they start with them.

Does anyone know exactly how Medical escort changed? I'm working on a campaign doc. Also the new lasting injury and XP charts?
