N18 New Rules Incoming

Yep it's PC, remember you can burn alive your opponent but with respect. If you say "duck you you young juvenile punk" you lose the game. I understand it you can use a proper respectful language like " burn burn you uneducated swine" you show respect and that what matter. Look at captain America everytime the avengers use foul language. 😅
Well a language is more than a few words. If you are using swear words as punctuation you are just wasting the opportunity.
Why call someone a S**t when you can call them and Odious Carbuncle?
All the best.

Man, it's pretty easy to ramp up your attacks with the Combat tree, isn't it? Frenzy is +1A, Two weapon fighter is an extra attack with a secondary weapon, Headbutt is a free attack.

Two advancements on a Berserker Ganger and you've got someone that makes 6 attacks on the charge.

I think he is questioning your use of the word "scans."

Everything from the reddit-leakers is a photograph (from a cameraphone) and not a scan.

If you include images that followed from youtube reviewers, those are screencaps from a video.

A scan is what you get from physically putting the paper page in a scanner.

Yeah, my question is about training. How does it work? Does it cost anything? Experience was the weak point for me in the previous edition and seems to be a strong point in this one, but I want to know more.

Are you talking about the new post-battle action?

It's the most permissible action -- anybody can do it (pets, vehicles, etc.). They get 2 XP. That's it, there's no other cost (only the opportunity cost of not taking other actions, which aren't very appealing to anyone lower than leader/champ rank anyway).

Or do you mean "training" in a general sense? There are one or two new fairly-easy ways to get XP, like claiming an objective. This one seems nice because you have a lot of control over it and it isn't dice-based; you can funnel XP to fighters who you want to rank up by making them your objective claimers.

There's at least one trigger for getting XP that is gone, too (a fighter recovering their nerve).

It feels like gangers and prospects are going to level up pretty quickly. Just keep hitting that train action and keep standing in circles.

I believe gaining XP through training is a post battle action. Me like!

A shame... In our last campaign, we houseruled that no fighter was allowed to have more than 2 base attacks, just to limit the total amount of them. It seems the N26 CC is still very much dominated by the "whoever gets to charge first, gets an overwhelming chance to win". I think it should be more due to who the better fighter is, not who initiates the fight, but I'm not the game designer.

I'm glad they finially allowed moving into CC without charge, although why it's limited to the silly D6" range is beyond me. With the charge action giving you so many opportunities for extra attacks (via skills for example), I really do not see the point to limit this move to D6".

Well - it's a trade-off between working a territory for Credits or training for Xp I think.

For anyone out there who has collected the leaked pics of the gang lists, would you be able to post the first page (with the gang-wide special rule) for Delaque and Corpse Grinders? I think I missed those if they were posted in the early leaks.

First I though you were being sarcastic... but then realized younger people have probably never actually scanned a document in their lives :giggle:
Even in the peak-scanner, pre-smartphone era a lot people would've never used one! Having home printers and scanners was always an upper-middle class privilege.

There is a significant downside to my idea there: if you take the new equivalent of a Flesh wound you lose all your skills! So that hypothetical ganger could lose half his attacks to a stubbed toe

I played a game earlier and completely misjudged how lethal melee was going to be. With AP values seeming to be lower in general and very few melee weapons having more than 1 damage you can make some very resilient champions. It's pretty trivial to get a champion to a 3+ save in melee.

And with no free CdG you can survive a SI far more easily: As long as you can crawl away and your buddies can suppress whoever is nearby you've got a pretty decent chance. (Unclear if intentional but GW's excellent writing standards mean you can't Charge or Engage an SI model to get a free CdG)

Not allowed to charge a fighter if he's SI? Maybe it's just "gentelmanly sportsmanship" reflected in the rules ;)

No need to own one. There is the library for example - that's where I print my stuff.

Why couldn't close combat just be alternating single dice attacks back and forth? Starting with the one who charged, highest initiative or whatever. That way it could build up suspense when someone miss. Melee monsters would get all their attacks, but not without the opponent having a chance (if surviving the first attack).
