Commodore Floppy, an ancient archeotech device powered by an even more ancient mind. A machine brain from pre-Imperial Terra, its computational power undoubtedly immense beyond the imaginings of the petty cogitators of the Mechanicum
Hah, that's great! One possible suggestion - old beige computers yellow where the light hits them... a very light browny-yellow shade on the tops of the legs might just set it off nicely.
Well I've had this silly robot lying around and thought I'd try out these Green Stuff World candy inks. They're alright, the photo makes it look a lot more like a single thick coat of glossy enamel than in real life (not that it's not thick and glossy, just not this much). The red took a million coats to achieve a decently intense colour (hence the thickness and glossiness), but the yellow just took a single coat over a silver base coat. Anyway right after finishing I realised I accidentally done a Iron Man
I forgot that I was planning to do gravel floors on one or two of these so none of them match most of my bases. Got to make more concrete-based minis now
Submerged robot leg went bad. I didn't mix the resin good! I tried to mix it in such a way as to avoid bubbles, and that wemt ok, but instead I got a semi-cured wobbly mess
I tried OSL with this, which I've never done before. I hadn't decided to do it until the base was already painted (hadn't decided what to do with the model beforehand and then figured it would be interesting as a flying floodlight monster), so it was just done quickly with Vallejo black and white glazes over the already-finished paint job.
