It is a rabbit hole and a fantastic game! There is a large online gaming community as well! AND a 40K set! Plague Marines, Ultria Marines, Orks, and Space Wolves.

Do you have links? As in website, playthrough on YouTube etc?

And are you personally connected to the development? If you are it is probably worth just saying, so that people can ask questions and it doesn't look weird later.

Edit: is it 40k, or do you mean "totally not 40k but kinda is"?

The game is dice team building, driven by cards. They have issued more than 20 sets so far and each has about 150 cards and 40 sets of 4 dice. You pick your team cards, allocate dice, and play. A game takes 30-45 minutes if you know the rules. Building a team can take longer. Each of the different sets has a unique Intellectual Property assocated with it. Marvel and DC Comics dominate the sets. There are D&D, Warhammer 40K, and a few others. The second issue of 40K was cancelled due to a "failure to come to terms". The marketing photos are out there. So in the one set is a cross-team set of basic action cards, and four "teams". In the game you can mix if you want. So Batman can support Ghatzguhl Thraka With a Blue-Eyed Dragon and a Eternal Ring Master. And take on Spiderman, Wonder Woman, A Stompa, and Rafael. :)

And it easily adapts to a streaming video call. There are several web sites that facilitate online gaming.

I am not a developer, owner or nutin.

Cool. I really like your enthusiasm. But I didn't understand much about the game from your description other than it has a lot of content. How do you play the game?

It's easier to watch their video. There is a mat with zones to move the custom dice around on...Turn based with actions for both attacker and defender. Basically you take hits until your life is 0.

Youtube has a lot. I play entirely on the Discord chanel "Dice Masters Online" as I am rural and remote.
