I'm super excited by the Book of outcasts. Arrived today.

One Idea that came to my mind was to build an ogryn leader. He has two champions aka friends ... A mutant psyker and an ex enforcer.

But I'm not sure if this is allowed rules wise?

the outcast gang lets you create anything really. however it is up to your arbitrator to okay it.
however the three members so far don't sound like to much. depends alot on stats and equipment :) but a psyker from outcasts is not that powerful and an ex enforcer is really cool also an ogryn leader is not scarier than a goliath leader in most cases :D go for it

Lile Monsterhelmet said, your arbitrator ultimately has the final say.

However, the ogryn overboss is totally legal aa per the book, you would just elevate a leader and port the stats profile right over from book of chains. I even think they mention "Ogryns leading" outcast gangs as an example which is cool.

The only thing that's not explicit to my reading is whether the ogryn leader would have access to the trading post or to the slave ogryn list, but I would probably just assume slave ogryn list.

I've totally been thinking of an overboss as a leader too, I think they're just so flavourful and interesting.

Peace and Love

The official rules support this, no need to ask anyone for permission?

If you need to ask for permission, then you could do this before and without Outcast book!

Official rules in the Book of the Outcast page 27 under elevating a leader also says consult the arbitrator because elevating a leader can lead some gangs to be unbalanced, and that the arbitrator always has the final say.

Say I have a Outcasts Leader and I want to give him a gold plated, master crafter weapon... How would that be possible when both the gold plated and master crafted upgrades have a rarity of 11 and Outcasts Leaders are limited to weapons/wargear with a rarity of 9 or less?

You look for it? Nobody are limited to max 9 rarity. Outcast leader can have that flying baby demon at 15 rarity (if so lucky as to find it).

Replied to your other post but will do so here again with additional clarification:

You’d have to wait until your first post-battle trading post action and a) have enough credits; b) roll 11 or more on your rare trade roll.

The rarity limit of 9 is only for items you give them when you first equip the leader at gang formation time. After that, it’s just up to your rare trade roll.
