N18 Outcasts custom gang help

I am creating an outcasts gang for an upcoming campaign and I am having a bit of trouble with the custom gang rules. I have worked out how to create custom fighter profiles and add the relevant stats but I can't work out how to add the special rules (gang hierarchy, gang leader, group activation etc) to my leader and champions. Is there a way to do This or do I just add it in the notes bit?

I think the workaround is to make custom skills and assign them.
