N18 Pets in gang composition

Hey there
New to the Hive,

Am just looking for some clarification on how Pets are added into a gang.

For example, am looking to start a campaign with Enforcers.
The HCCM says you can have 0-2 .
Is that, you can only have 0-2 HCCM in the gang.
Or
You can only equip 0-2 HCCM to a leader/champion

I don’t have all the books yet, and trying to find rules questions and answers is difficult.

That's per fighter. So you can have the following per fighter:

• 2 HCCM
• 1 Gyrinx Cat
• 1 Caryatid (Leader)
• 1 Hacked Cyber-mastiff
• 2 Grapplehawk
• Infinite Giant Rats
• Infinite Wasteland Giant Rats
• Infinite Ripperjacks
• Infinite Millisaurs

Yes, nobody expected the pet limitation was per fighter. And you are correct it is status item limited to leader / champs only.

GW skipped limit on the old giant rat and also skipped limitation of all the new pets in Outlands book

You'll also occasionally find the odd Prospect who can take pets, but that's visible on their equipment list. Think it's just Escher and Delaque?

Yeah there are exceptions. Since OP already knew about the enforcer specific pet, I was talking based on universal pet access. There's also a brute that can have up to 3 pets.

And, most pets are overpriced. Familiars and Giant Rats, and may VS spyders are an exception. Psychoteric Wyrms look cool, but the only fighters who can get them are way overpriced, with semi-stinker rules.

Computer says no. Psychic snek is the business. Admittedly that comes with a few caveats like, once the psygheist gets 3xp (Not a terribly difficult feat) for a Will upgrade, and how the rest of your gang looks but I'm not going to sit and listen to snek getting bad mouthed.

My group hates, with a passion, that wriggly sucker.

I don't think these have been added to Trading Post/Black Market so they are currently only available to the Outland Beastmaster Brute who has a limit of 3 of a single type.
