Photobucket commits business suicide

I know this is an old thread, but I figured it appropriate to post here. Does anyone still have a Photobucket account?

I got an email saying that my account is over its storage limit, so I need to pay for a subscription or delete my account.

I thought I might simply be able to delete some - but not all - of the pictures. However, I can't see a way to do this, because when I log in now it doesn't let me access my pictures - it only goes to a payment page for the subscription.

I case anyone has a similar problem, I did find the solution.

If you simply go to photobucket . com and log in, then you just end up with the payment page. But going straight to my album, and logging in there, I was able to see my pictures and delete them until under the limit again - which should mean I can at least keep most of them.

Sounds like it’s holding your pics hostage. I have a photobucket, but I never use it. I think I only used it for MySpace.

They've been holding a lot of people's photos "hostage" in recent years from what I've read from people complaining.

Personally I don't use cloud storage for anything other than posting photos that I'm prepared to lose. That's one reason why I use free sites like imgbb. But each to their own I guess.
