Fingers crossed for the 22nd September then, I’m excited to see how they’ll update the classic trench coat and bald head look and how differently they’ll operate to the other gangs.

I’m hoping for combat drugs relating to spook and some net weapons along with stealth tactics.

The old ones looked kinda monkey headed to me so i'll be glad to see that be gone. View attachment 66283
I'm hoping the spook stuff is very present, also las weapons, couple bullet weapons. So far the gangs have turned out mostly similar to the previewed artwork like this, so maybe they will have a kind of high collar and tech noir look...
 
That Delaque picture is what I fear the most.

I don’t really want a techy, high collared gang. There are already plenty of games with that look and I don’t want a bunch of Neo matrix wannabes for a gang.

I just really want a bunch of guys in trench coats that sneak around in the dark and shoot from the shadows.

If they end up being the psyker gang instead of the drug dealing spy gang I will flip my lid.
 
Well as I always say, prepare for the worst so when/if the disappointment hits it wont be so bad. The early Cawdor/VS art was pretty close to the final product, only some subtle changes. So i'd definitely expect them to be along the lines of that artwork, maybe with some alterations...I doubt they will all have respirators. The developers said they were like creepy noir assassins. To me though the original models still reminded me of the matrix.
 
Don’t we already know that the collars are some sort of command and control intel suite that their leaders use to better coordinate the gang?
They might not all have them and/or they might be an optional bit.
 
Hopefully some of the older Delaques have infiltrated geedubs HQ and can get some intel and photos of the new look gang before the 21st... really hope they look better than the concept art and more like the original. Delaque was my favourite looking gang (along with my ratskins) maybe modernise it without going all Darkcity weirdo looking...

Intriguing where does that bit of fluff come from?
 
So seeing as a friendly Admin has split us into a new thread what do we all know and think will be in GW5?

Delaque gang rules,
Delaque HWL and special weapons (but what new weapons?)
Delaque house brutes (but what?)
Delaque house pets (but what?)

Rules for psykers (sanctioned and non sanctioned)

More bounty hunters? (any guesses)
New scenarios?
New campaign rules?
Anything else?

Edit: what do you think the teaser rule will be?

My guess would be that the house pet is some sort of snake, no real idea what the brute could be.

Regarding bounty hunters we will probably see some generic psykers.
Maybe some of the house specific bounty hunters. We saw the concept art for Escher and Goliath a long time ago, and we saw the Cawdor model recently (although he appears to have been discontinued before he was even released).

The snake is a good call, like some sort of sump hydra without the wings/claws

No idea about the brute, though. Maybe something in the vein of an eversor assassin, a drug-fueled berserker to throw at the problem when subtler methods fail.

Since Delaque appear to be big on Spook abuse, their brute could also be a relatively stable psyker who uses their psychic powers to enhance their physical attributes. Think a magical cyborg monk assassin knocking peoples' heads off with his bare, psychically charged hands...

Good call, my own guess would be an evesor-like android/cyborg.
 
Eversor-like seems unlikely. Delaque are all about the subtle; Eversors are explicitly the exact opposite.
Do you suppose that Escher could synthesise polymorphine…?
 
Yeah, well, the other brutes we've seen so far haven't been very big on subtlety, and I'm having trouble trying to marry the words 'subtle' and 'brute' together, so I figured the Delaque brute would be a deliberate exception to their usual house politics. :p

What kind of content are we going to see in GW5 - the finale? Are there enough stuff left to make a whole book's worth of content? The previous books have a lot of repetition: gangs, skills, exotic beasts, brutes, campaign components, weapon traits and so forth. We got the existing gangs mostly fleshed out, they all got their brutes, pets, unique weapons...

Here are my expectations:
-Delaque (gang, brute, pet, new weapons/equipment)
-6 new scenarios?
-new wyrd powers, more ways to incorporate wyrd powers into gangs (bounty hunters, hangers'on?), reprint of core wyrd power rules.
-inconsistent weapon profiles, stats, costs etc.

Not sure what else to expect.

Maybe a reprint/update of the Venator gang? Like the chaos and genestealer cult ones, maybe with clarification on whether someone with house legacy can choose the enhanced option(s) when working a House dominion territory…

Also some sort of discussion/announcement of what they’re going to do WRT Outlanders, Palatine Enforcers, and the other settings available on Necromunda.
