Isn't also new that you can either consolidate or Coup de Grace?

Did anyone notice that the purgation shot from the polearm is no longer plentifull but scarce?

And one more thing, can you no longer Consolidate to Engage new enemy fighters?

Apparently not. They removed the sentence indicating you can move into base contact so it's only a move 2" now.

Consolidating into close combat with new enemies is one of those things from GW and 40k universe that's been allowed as far as I can remember... it feels very unnatural to deny it now. I guess they want to be super strict about how to move to engage someone.

Yet it's not mentioned in the FAQ released so it was either omitted by mistake in the compendium (more likely), or omitted as a rule change in the FAQ.

This change does not appear as an errata in the FAQ though, so it may not be intentional.

As a side note, I just realized reading the FAQ that Flak armour situational bonus has been extended to Template on top of Blast.

The FAQ seems to clarify fearsome. The test is only made if the chargning fihter has sufficient move to engage...

But the FAQ is a joke. There were mirre changes and I am pretty sure much more frequently asked questions..

I don't think this thread needs anymore discussion. All material and new FAQ is released and discussion regarding any of those things should be in the several new threads, including myself doing that.
