In an attempt that I am sure will be buried under an avalanche of other "stuff", I will try to follow the example of so many other great denizens of the tribe and post a regular blog of in-progress projects and sometimes even fully completed models/squads.

There will be stops and starts depending on the winds of fate, and whatever tempts me to purchase more plastic Crack, but these discharges of grey matter will continue (I hope) with some regularity.

. These were the models that during the lead up to N17 I was really excited about. All the poses seemed very dynamic and showed what GW can do now with the new production techniques since the original game
. However, pinning these models was like doing surgery on small insects where the bits flew off from time to time.

. The stock options for a gang leader model really didn't seem good enough, but the new inquisitor model (minus all the steam punk stuff) really fit the new Escher Gang image for me
. Not so set on the new back story for the house, but the new art material and individual gang fluff is good fun and in keeping with the times

Looking forward to making some more conversions for the gang as GW is pumping out more and more good female models.

More to come on the turn..

Indeed - great idea using the Greyfax model as a gang leader. The only thing that I don't love about it is the sensible hair style (she is an Escher - she is supposed to have crazy hair :p)

I thought the same, but couldn't get something decent looking with the stock hair pieces and didnt trust myself with the green stuff for it.

Will have another go with the next Escher conversion

He looks absolutely badass - I hope you are going to remove the mould lines, and clean up the back of his lower right leg though.

Thanks for catching that mold line. Don't know how I missed that one.

Also, adding some progress on one of the Age of Strife figures I'm working on.

Really bit into the techno barbarian concept recently. Thinking of trying to paint a TV screen or similar onto the faceplate.

“It’s a potion i’ve invented that, when the patient drinks it, it turns them into an axe-wielding homicidal maniac. it’s practically a cure! for not being an axe-wielding homicidal maniac. The potential market’s enormous! I hid it in a Coke can so no one would drink it by mistake.” -Vyvyan Basterd

. Need to figure out a better way to do new scar tissue?

Also, for the next project I'm digging into a model kit I chanced across to make some eavy gear.
: Age of Strife : MA.K A.F.S & S.A.F.S

. I've run across Maschinen Krieger (MA.K or SF3D) models at various times before, and really liked the unique scifi/archaic look of them. The internet delivered with a set of second hand promotional kits that were handed out at a convention some time in Japan (I think). This gave me 2x of the land based fighting suits in 1/35 scale, which I think will fit as either some sort of exo mining suit or something from the age of Strife pretty well
. But why pink or all colors?

we have a few Yakkers in Japan and other parts of Asia that might know. maybe it’s based on print run? some record labels do that for limited edition vinyl prints (first 100 are red, next 200 are blue, last 500 are black type of thing)

I'm finding more of these small kits now that I have the right search terms, but it's still a bit of a blind scavenger hunt. The Japanese have a couple different names for the kits, and the Chinese vendors I'm dealing with just call them 太空纳粹 (space Nazi's) or some other odd interpretation.

It looks like they are still made and sold from vending machines (as much fun stuff in Japan is), which bodes well for future projects but not so much for reducing the piles of plastic Crack....
