I've been theory crafting many gangs for the last year but the one gang I used back in the late 90's was Escher.

I would strongly suggest upgrading the Fighting knives on the Juves into Stiletto daggers (to get around the abysmal S2 on said juves).
For the Pow sword champ I would also propose Spring up is a more useful starting skill than Combat master (it is rare to get in a fight with multiple opponents, while it is much more likely for your melee specialists to be prioritised by enemy shooting to at least Pin her and prevent charges next turn). Also the Plasmagun champ might also want a backup lasgun (if needed you could downgrade the Shotgun on the leader to a Lasgun).

I'd drop one of the Juves, they're just not that good. It won't be long before your settlement generates more anyway.
Definitely get them a stiletto knife, it's just so much better than a fighting knife.

Spring Up is the best Agility skill by far imo, regardless of the fighter's role. Doubly so more melee fighters because they can't charge after being pinned.

Rain of Blows is meh. Overseer is amazing (some argue too amazing), Iron Will can be good, as Escher we can't really bottle.

I'd recommend a melee weapon as a backup for the plasmagun champ, a lasgun is a cheap option but it would prevent them getting a backup pistol+melee combo.
Smoke and/or photon flash grenades are also good investments on the Gangers if you find the credits.

If you're playing in a campaign, hotshot packs for the Gangers are great to give them some proper lethal threat.
Hand flamers on the Juves are also great.
Wildsnake and/Second Best (alcohol) is an interesting idea for your champions. If your gang bottles but you still think you can win, getting your leader/champs sloshed and clustering the gang around them can help prevent you bottling.
And especially for melee fighters, getting drunk isn't that bad.

These two responses cover it all!

Your leader will be able to threaten 8+d3" with her shock whips. The shotgun doesn't add that much. Lasgun for everyone! Also, Dual Shock Whips are just awesome to model and play. Rolling 5 dice on a charge is just so much fun, especially with the Shock rule in place.

And I already have more Juves than I want after playing 6 games. I literally turned down the most recent one. One is good for having a speedy mover, and getting a handflamer. Beyond that, they're just someone you'll groan when you see them come up in your Random (4) list on Border Dispute as the model in the middle (not that I'm bitter from a recent game).

Spring Up is the default choice unless you're worried about cheese. *Everyone* wants to be able to get up from Pinned, whether to charge or aim.

This. Remove laspistol on juve for stub. +2 to hit and option for dumdum is better. I can understand rain of blows on a versatile weapon but prob doesn't come up very often. Target has to start within 3 of your leader and survive the first blow to finally see action. Overseer (cheese warning) and iron will are better options. A rain of blows champ with dual whip can be nice with a overseer leader. But I would prob not start with it.

Everyone else has covered it quite well.

Rain of blows and combat master are pretty ordinary skills and won’t get used. If they are being used you are doing something very, very wrong.

2 shock whips is interesting. I wouldn’t use it but it would be fun to model and play with. I’d prefer one whip and a plasma pistol but she is useable with spring up instead of rain of blows.

I’d move the lasgun from the power sword champion to the plasma gun champion.

Dodge is ok for the plasmagun champion.

Rain of blows is crap. Jump up is the best skill for a combat fighter. If you don’t want the same skill twice try sprint to get her up the board (and out of sight). If you really want a combat skill take step aside in case you get charged.

Also drop the two juves and use the credits to buy a Ganger with a shotgun. She will be useful for actually killing things at a distance. Juves are pretty crap and if you are playing a dominion campaign you should get a few free ones as the campaign progresses.
