When I was your age, I had to stalk Underhivers uphill both ways.
Ah, Bob Olley has long been one of my favorite miniature makers, but I didn'd even realise he had done genestealers. I have many of his squats and an odd assortment of other miniatures from the old Ollies Army sight, he had with his son. His miniatures are so characterful and usually tell a story in their own right. He also made great scratch built vehicles, which inspired my own ash waste gangs.
an awful lot of the old multi-part metal hybrids are olley minis- i've got maybe four or five that will be joining this guy (along with some jes goodwin hybrids, magus, and a few older metal purestrains, and some spare delaques masquerading as brood brothers) in a GSC 'gang' for necromunda (or killteam or whatever).
Wow that is good to know that Bob did a line of genestealers. I have not seen many of the metal genestealer models, except I remember the patriarch on the throne quite well because a mate who played stealer cults had one. I need to give my cult army some loving and at least get them assembled.

Steel Legion sniper finished, this is not a YakComp 47 entry as its an old conversion, and therefore ineligible! Just wanted to see if I could knock out a decent looking model in a couple of sessions. As usual, more shots in the gallery if you're interested.
Very nice paint job, would make an excellent bounty hunter mIniature.
Next month its Necromunda November, the themed event in which there are no prizes and even less organization- but i would invite you all to participate by painting something from your collection, new or old, confrontation or ash wastes, metal or plastic or kitbash. simply have a good time!

here's what I managed last month for orktober 2023 (think this is the fourth year now i've done it?). Anyway, enjoy some metal:
thanks for the kind feedback everyone! next year's orktober might see me finish an actual unit (i've got 4 kev adams boyz with heavy weapons to go with the boss). Necromunda November is in full swing, working on the last 4 classic spyrer hunters in little bits and pieces, hopefully photos soon
