Repainted a buddy's terrain for the con this weekend. It had a very basic paint job on it with plain colors, no shading and no highlights. Still wanted to do more with it but ran out of time. Am bringing paints to the con so may try a bit of guerilla painting during game set up... And yes, I have been painting like a mad man for the past few weeks.

Hmmm, how do I download an emoji file and edit it?
I am not sure if Xenforo manages that sort of thing. Sometimes I think my emoji game is strong on this site, but then I realize I am not using eggplants or avocados... the eggplants are supposed to be phallic references for wieners, no idea what an avocado emoji means.

At that, I will merely say you've done a great job on repaint, those are all very cool terrain pieces (y)

English?

Add a new version of the crying emoji using red blood instead of water?

Game time! We played two large, connected, multi player "narrative" games at KublaCon this weekend. The two battles were taking place at the same time so gangs had to be split with five gangers of a players choice playing in each battle, however in the second game gangers were limited to pistols and HTH weapon since it was supposed to be a "stealth" mission in Hive City. Post game stuff would be calculated after the second game for every ganger that participated.

For game 1 the gangs have been hired by a Guilder to show that they can take care of bidness and take out a rival Guilder. The target Guilder and a few of his crew are known to be escorting a group of slaves and future organ donors to a freight elevator to move them up hive. The gangs are supposed to stop him from reaching the elevator. Its possible to capture a straight jacketed slave or a manacled slave and exchange for a new ganger or Juve respectively. My Eschers are at 16 gangers so do NOT want to capture any slaves so will just be shooting them for experience.

This is going to be a big photo dump with light descriptions. Our large terrain is beginning to look good, although I think we will be having a painting party to work on the smaller stuff... Was experimenting with non-flash pics a bit and it looks like some of the overhead hotel lighting was fluorescent and really flattened out the colors. I boosted saturation on some of the pics to bring the color back up.

Escher, Redemption and Guilder/slaves starting position near the right end of a 4' x 8' board. Guilders need to move about 5' to reach the elevator while running the gauntlet between the gangs on either side of the "road".

Guilders' objective: Clark's brand new giant tower with TSA security station to keep the riff raff out of the elevator.

Genestealer cult. There were also a scavvy, a Delaque gang and a couple more gangs.

It pretty much turned into a turkey shoot and the Guilder made it about halfway to the elevator before he, his guard and most of the slaves were gunned down. Between pins, downs and the Guilders Displacer Field (lots of LOLs) their progress was very slow. Only a couple of slaves were captured. Blondie, my Heavy with heavy stubber managed to get 12 wounding hits in spite of horrible wound rolls. One interesting thing that happened when gangers tried to capture the slaves was that the manacled or straight jacketed slaves (still WS3) kicked butt in HTH, taking out a number of gangers (including two of mine who got too close and got charged) and two gang leaders!

English?...
The forum software engine is by XenForo (I don't know anything about it beyond that it says it at the bottom left corner of the page when you scroll down and @Malo talks about it from time to time). I like the ones we have, and think they help shape tone in posts, but pop cultural references that I have seen suggest that standard modern teenage emoji texting uses emojis far beyond smiley faces doing things like rolling their eyes. Such as making penis references with eggplant emojis. Apparently that is why there is an eggplant emoji.

So yeah, doubt we will have a more expansive collection of little smiley faces than the ones we got...

Game 2 takes place in Hive City where four gangs are trying to raid the target Guilder's office and steal data. Each five person gang has been provided with a hacker to assist in the data theft. There are lots of civilians walking the streets, as well as Spider Clan enforcers patrolling. 2D6 civilians (or groups of civilians) and enforcer patrols would move randomly at the end of each game turn. There were three ID check roadblocks as well. Each gang sets up in a corner and the target building is in the center of the table. There were first, second and third place rewards for the gangs who succeeded first, second and third, although this was not adequately communicated to the players, so everyone thought there was only one large reward (in addition, each gang had a 10 exp reward along the way). Doing bad things along the way (running in sight (6", in seeing arc) of civilians, or Spider Clan enforcers, shooting or close combat gave alarm points to each gang. When any gang hit five alarm points the enforcers come into action against the gangers.

Again a semi random pic dump is in order.

As the two sprinting Eschers approach the objective building the bad Delaques open fire on them, reaping a whirlwind of blades in response, taking out three of the four Delaques.

As the sprinting Escher got up onto the building they were ambushed by another gang and the alarm went off and Enforcers started shooting (two of my gangers instantly out of action) and pouring out of the station next to the the objective building. The only thing to do was bottle. In the after battle sequence both gangers got "Head Wound" and I did not really want three gangers with head wounds in addition to five gangers with Old Battle Wound, so my two medics made rerolls (one 91 rating ganger died (taking me back down to 15 gangers) and Diz was captured! So who captured her? She was shot by the Enforcers so it was decided that she was captured by them. Now what, I need to raid the Enforcer station to get her back? Yikes! It was decided that she could be bailed out at a cost of D6x10 credits and I managed to roll a 1.

So the scenario is not really ready for prime time yet, needs quite a bit of work, but we will keep working on it...

Absolutely awe inspiring terrain there @timdp - I hope everyone had a great time playing on it.

I got so engrossed in reading all the signs that I didn't notice that the 'Almond Windmill Cookies' sign was a label on a box of actual cookies, and I was confused for a moment (I may be sleep deprived, and not functioning at full capacity.)

I like the idea behind the lighting, but think the colours are a bit too bright for the scene. But you want it fairly bright to see everything. Differently bright? Not sure. Maybe the green is too emerald and the blue too sky? I like reds, purples, and blues as underhive lighting colours.
