Is that not the scene towards the end of The Blues Brother when they are in the elevator and in order to make all the police, firefighters, and military men take the stairs, Elwood takes off the control panel and hits it with the aerosol glue and a lighter to melt all the wiring? If it is, he has this telescopic screwdriver that works by pushing inwards, and the internals spin to remove the screws in that action.

LOL! Looks like I pulled a sneaky one on you. It is a scene from a Blues Brothers movie, but its Blues Brothers 2000, not the original movie. The brick cell phone might be a clue...:) The original one is also my favorite movie.

BTW its a reciprocating screwdriver. My dad was a carpenter and I have a couple of his.

I remember those old Yankee screwdrivers.. I used to use them daily (as a Carpenter) until I gave in and bought myself a power drill.

My dad had one of those, he had to hide it from me when I was a kid because I kept unscrewing things and wasn't so fussed about re-screwing them

Seems to be raining walkways. Had planned to start working on structures after finishing the risers, but I guess its going to be walkways for a while.

Chopped up the Hot Wheels track with a bandsaw and worked on a prototype to see how they might look.

Something like 27 future walkways from 5 to 18 inches long. Most are in the 8-10 inch range.

Can I ask what the white stuff you're using for the sides is? The Hot Wheels tracks are a brilliant idea for walkways but I was thinking some might not have good sides and then you posted that.

Specifically its the Corrugated Metal Siding with the largest groove spacing (.125").

Eureka! Was continuing with my dome cleaning and rearranging project tonight and uncovered a vast trove of archeotech!

The discovery:

As I unlocked the chest I found glittering pieces of resin untouched, lo, these last ten years:

Layer upon layer I dug down through the treasure. Armorcast Gothic Tech Walls ruined and unruined.

Crates and concrete walls and vents and storage tanks, oh my!

Cooling towers and lots of overhead pipelines.

Unbagged loot!

And finally, the precious. I knew I had a bunch of Armorcast Tech Canal pieces somewhere and have been looking for them for a long time...

Nice, you hit the motherlode! I look forward to seeing it painted up, especially the canal.

Well, I did start and own a company that made (and still makes) a LOT of resin scenery (along with 30,000 resin vehicle and Titan kits for 40K from Battlewagons to Reavers and Great Gargants). When I sold the company in 2007, I made sure I had a stash of scenery for future uses, including very specifically Necromunda...

PS And you sir, have a very perplexing avatar. Awesome, but scary pic. I assume there is a story to go with it, unless you are planning a Goliath/Escher cross gang. :)

10 bonus points if you can guess who it is.

I'm yet to find an appropriate permanent Avatar I like. The plan was to have a close up picture of one of my models but I never paint anything.

If anyone who can draw fancies sketching me a pic of the Mighty King Redwart...I can guarantee you won't go in the pot when the apocalypse happens....

Anyway back on topic...my response to your collection is....you lucky SOB :D

My guess on the avatar would be Fabio. Edit: Looking at the slightly larger pic, its not him.

You could use a close up shot of one of your loot counters for your avatar... :)

Just noticed those canal pieces. Awesome. I want to build some out of plasticard someday.

Plasticard is nice but the detail on the Armorcast Tech canals is really amazing, unfortunately the pics of the web site don't really show the detail well. The box set is still a pretty good deal for $60, although shipping across the pond will be problematic ($). http://www.armorcast.com/sci-fi/tech-canal/tech-canal-box-set-(7)

Not a sketch, but how about some possible starting points for a King Redwart figure conversion?

I had seen the canal shown on the Armorcast Webstore and wanted to make a purchase. Seeing the canal in your photos has moved them onto my buy list for sure now!
