Gun lowered as far as can be without moving it to the back of the loadbed, which I'd prefer not to do for several reasons. Next up: a ton of drybrushing.

Bunch more dusty colours drybrushed around. There's a lot more rusty colour up underneath too, though that's hard to see from here.
Got annoyed with how the driver wasn't actually holding the steering wheel. He is now.

Yeah, scrap plastic & junk heavy stubs really are the way forwards for Necro vehicle guns. The only particularly tricky part is the ammunition supply, and I find striker wheels from old disposable cigarette lighters (as seen above) make great ammo drums.
Back to business as usual; two more Kampfgruppe and two more Ex-Victims.
Incidentally I can report that Brother Vinni's heads are a good match for the original Escher, so if you've got any Escher head-swap doners kicking around and want to patch them up, there's a good source for replacements. Just needs a bit of hairdo enhancement and something to disguise the neck join.

Aye, I was surprised how evocative an unadorned concrete doorstep turned out to be - definitely going to be using that as a backdrop again.
Couple of things today. First off, that wartrakk I've been doing up...
Bar controls, headlight, seat backrest, brake line. It's almost staring to look rideable!
And second off, a bit of fun;
Tense moments in the Bay Area as the Boys from Blaster Bay, hired to accompany and act as outriders for a mysterious white-clad woman and her small group of elite companions, run into a Kampfgruppe roadblock...
... behind which the Kampfgruppe are struggling to keep some 'mortality-challenged assets' corralled...
... quite unaware that their old 'sparring partners' are not alone this time...
... or that when all is said and done, this time the Kampfgruppe may well have bitten off more than they can chew.
And an overview of the above;

Loving the little diorama, the intial roadblock pic reminds me of the artwork from the old confrontation stuff!
Great looking vehicles man. You spared no details while building that jeep. That engine is killer looking as well the drivetrain is equally cool. Also the box with the shotgun shells is awesome too. All the little details you added really bring the model to life. Digging the diorama you did too, that's a group you wouldn't want to run into haha.

I can't be the only one who thought 'bolt-action magazine rifle' and here's a WIP of an Admech example, for all of your heretek-removal needs. Still needs a little gap-filling and other such cleaning up but it's shaping up quite nicely. Base weapon is the Mordheim/Empire Free Company matchlock, with a new barrel from any old plastic rod, magazine and bolt handle from scrap plastic, and a gunsight kindly donated by the Adeptus Astartes.

Still on an Admech kick. This gun is strikingly similar in character to those GW's new Admech are armed with you'd almost think Max Mini did it on purpose.
Given that madmen have uncovered priceless data on multiple prior occasions, by logical extension the possibility that Magos von Frankenstern is both crazy and right must be assumed to be greater than zero. Given the nature of his claims, that possibility - slim as it is - cannot rationally be ignored. If he is correct and a fully-functional Standard Template Construct system does indeed exist somewhere in the Necromunda star system, we will find it.

Well, I've got a fanfiction.net account but I haven't touched it in years and I've learned a lot writing-wise since the last time I posted anything to it. Most of my current writing 'creative juices' go towards building the plot for what's intended to be either a webcomic or a graphic novel - probably the former.
Anyway after procrastinating for months (in the case of some of my miniatures, years) earlier today I took a turn past the nearest model shop to get fine-tipped brushes, and picked up a bag of OO-scale coal (just fine black grit) and a GW basing kit. They're done by coating the bases in the OO-scale coal then selectively adding bits of one grade or another of the GW stuff. Not the cheapest way I could've done it but certainly the least hassle, and that's critically important as I find basing miniatures a bit of a chore, but it makes such a difference.
Anyway that's the Kampfgruppe based...
