Goood morning yakkers!

the metal tube thingy kept getting clogged

you can easy hold a lighter on the metal tube for 1-2 seconds. the blockage in the tube will burn and you can use it again... (if you have fear, that the glue gets fire, you can remove the nedle tube before you burn it with the lighter... )

so thats my update of the work last night...

i finished the second marine, he carry his bolter on the backhand .... the chains will be the typical "shriken" conversion-signature on all marines!

the third guy will be a sergeant with boltgun and power-fist, with a heroic pose... ah "space marines" my love for converting and re- pose!

i lost a part of the leg when i cutted it... the plastic part "jumped" far away while cutting it from the miniature and jumped somewhere in my room and i could not find it, so i had to replace it with some sculptingclay...

The update of tonight is the first heavy.

i got yesterday a paket and i couldn't sleep before i have start with the conversion. in my youth this was one of my favourite space marine minis. i always looked at the pictures in the white dwarf but never had the poketmoney for him because of other priorities. he's not something special, just a normal veteran/sgt. but the look of his face and the powerfist, wich is a little bit smaller than the other powerfists and let him look more dynamic and unique (for my taste).... i also found that he is a perfect "cpt. cortez" from the crimson fists too (better than the normal sculpt).

so yesterday i was very pleased when i first hold the old metall mini in my hands. and yes he also gets an "upgrade" for the SONs of SHRIKEN Chapter!

I'm going to start with the parts for the new yak27 competition. I will need a lot of new parts.

Because i make a futuristic truescale primarch. Should be actually primarch shriken himself. But useable also for games as special char. Chaptermaster and more...

Shoulderpads. Found some perfect pre heresy looking shoulderpads i think..

Actually not much to do... So i started with the primarch base.

the base for primarch shriken is finished. not sure how i will paint it. but i think easy grey stones... with a white eagle and some coloured little stone mosaics as a eyecatcher... so now i wait for the parts and hope they arrive today.....

i also made the first test minis for the sons of shirken... I'm not so happy with the blue.. i made 4 blue layers.. and all looked good.. but after i added the shade they look mottled. not happy with the result

(the red is just based... so don't look at it )

Update: jeah the shoulderpads and some other bits arrived. So i pushed my paintwork to the side and will start with my very first primarch conversion. Ohhh yes soooo cooool

... I will need a lot more bits...

Wow that is some kitbashing porn those shelves of bits. So organised. My system is no where near as sophisticated. Me rummaging through boxes 4 inches deep in random parts.
That base is great. I do like a non standard one of a kind base.
Great stuff overall. May the sons of shriken continue to grow as a chapter.

some parts are not perfekt. but i think with a great gold primarch armour colour, it will look good.
