stained glass art

hi people,

I'm, working on some terrain (mix of zone mortalis scenery and 3d pring lookalikes)

looking at all these gothic-shaped panels, popped into my mind the idea to print some stained glass like art and stick it there, like a glass window of a catedral

there is much 40k stained glass art around, and maybe more can be ai-generated i guess... and then there is some manual work in resizing and adapting everything to the panel sizes

do you know if something like this has already be done? meanwhile I'm already working on a prototype or something

(the cherry on the cake will be to have it backlit with some led, but that will take some more work XD )

Yes, it was quite popular in the late 90s to print out stained glass art on inkjet projector sheets (like a slightly matte acetate) and stick behind windows.

I’m sure a few images appeared in White Dwarf from 3rd 40k onwards.

If you’ve got some ideas do it! Then take photos and post here so we can all see them!!

I love terrain with stained glass. Here is a link to a GW page from 2004 that discusses three ways you can make stained glass windows; there are no pictures anymore unfortunately, but the descriptions speak for themselves.
