N18 Starting Van Saar list

Hello everyone,

After running my Goliath gang for several battles I thought I'd try my hand at Van Saar.

My initial thoughts were to lay down as much accurate fire as I can and keep the enemy pinned so they wont have as many actions and will be weakened over time.

Here's my initial list

Prime with plasmagun, mesh armor and shock baton. Has Fast shot skill

Champion with a Rad cannon, mesh armor. Haven't selected skill yet.

Specialist with Rad cannon

6 Juves all with Lasguns

Basic though was target area where groups of models are and knock them down using the large blast and possibly cause a wound but more importantly try toward phage the toughness down.

The leader and juves can then pick off the weakened models at a distance with their lasguns.

Thoughts?

That looks like a pretty interesting theme.

You'll really struggle in missions that involve getting somewhere or doing something and any zone Mortalis games you find yourself involved in.

Hip shooting is probably the best skill for van-Saar imo and should be considered over fast shot.

No love for the rad gun? Well worth a go if you're leaving into the rad.

As mentioned already your gang feels a bit too uniform. Like an Imperial Guard squad rather than a gang. Maybe worth checking with the people you're going to be playing against whether they're happy to take on this gang.

It might not be particularly powerful, just doesn't feel very Necromunda.

Thanks for the input. I should have mentioned that it was going to be for a one off type game.

For a campaign style I'd still be running a rad cannon but would have a couple of models set for CC so I could run forward to get objectives and such.

Maybe a glider or 2.
