Stirland: a rip-off of The Guide to the Empires East March

I have a bunch of those Wargames Factory skeletons in my hordes and they were not nice to build at all. The Wargames Atlantic ones were quite a lot nicer to build, as were the Oathmark skeletons. The WGA ones benefitted from swapping the heads to fit the GW look as they come with massive melon skulls.

I heartily recommend Citadel Skeleton Horde contrast paint for rapid skeleton painting. I used it extensively and it makes painting bony boys a lot faster.

The old GW ones were definitely the best. I would also buy them again in an instant. Then they started moulding armour etc onto them which tied them to a fantasy/historical setting and they stopped being so useful for anywhere you needed a skeleton.

Wargames Factory are closest to that golden age... but why oh why with the separate feet and spines... so delicate...

WIP: one of them couldn’t keep hold of his crossbow, and another has tilt his own head back in a maniacal skeleton laugh.

Jumping back to the empire for a second, I made a couple of frames to be able to house the leftover bits from the cannon kit! Got the wheels from a Tamiya kit. Iv mounted one to the front and one to the rear, but I’m not sure on either. Hopefully I’ll like them a bit better when they’ve got more gribblies and paint on?

Ummm, perhaps my miliput didn’t cure as much as I would have like…
