Stoof's Project Thread

That moment when you find out that Burger King actually had an advert like this…

Guess this means your burger has no artificial ingredients??

Which is odd as I thought it was probably made from entirely artificial ingredients!!

Sounds like one of them artisanal chefs...hope they show up in time.

Is the box from Barb's Beautiful Brioche Buns or Puntaku's Pilsner Pillows (& Other Baked Goods)?

I broke out the proper camera:

I'm going to have to cobble toegter a collage for my entry pic this time.

Just a little extra piece for BoltMeet, for the mega North Africa table that we're collectively putting together.

A little shelter for guys decanting fuel.

@ClockworkOrange both printed the oil drums and donated the shelter to the cause for this one.

The shelter is made of awful super gummy bendy plastic, my first experience of Mantic terrain I think!

Urrrgh, yeah I’ve seen some of their Dungeon Terrain and while I love the concept of those boxes it does seem to be made from bendy plastic that almost seems designed to be used by board gamers who won’t paint, but will stuff the things into a box and not worry about damage.

If I remember they had some metallic gold stuff in one that I heard was an absolute arse to paint as it seems to reject it. Even some primers flaked off. Rattle can primers only it seems.

Anyway, you’ve done a good job on that piece - hope you let those barrels cure well, would be ironic if they later exploded!!

Burger-Off Employee of the Month! More satisfied customers this period than any other franchise worker*, well done Magda!

(*Burger-Off Hot Foods Ltd considers a Satisfied customer to be any customer who leaves before they get stabbed for complaining).

Excellent! A very nice conversion and fast food snack bar.

I'm not a fan of too many Space Marine popping up in Necromunda and being used by some for bigger and heavier armor, but remodeled like this and without his heavy weapons, the Rhino fits in very well. That feels right and makes sense to me and I can really imagine Magda waiting for customers with it.

Here I am copying @ClockworkOrange again... (Stoof is Clockwork in a fat suit? A malicious rumour! People have even seen us in the same room together! In a completely unrelated note, hologram tech is getting really good these days.)

This Fiat 626 is ostensibly for my Italian Bolt Action army, but due to the frequency of vehicles being captured & re-captured in North Africa it could be used for any force.

The guy with a mess tin came with my chef for the BurgerRhino. He's meant to be Finnish, but since that basically means he's in German uniform anyway I painted him up as DAK. (Finland was an unusual case in WW2, it makes interesting reading).

The printing lines were almost invisible to the naked eye, but of course the drybrushing has made them stand out. So in the pics it looks a bit like it's made of wood/wearing a cheap suit on 90s TV.

Talking about holograms and trucks made of wood (I couldn't have segwayed more smoothly!), I got this book from a charity shop. It has all sorts of interesting stuff for possible WW2 scenarios - setting up dummy air- and minefields, falsifying movements of armoured companies, disguising vehicles. Interesting stuff.
