Stoof's Project Thread

My son wanted to build a model, so we picked one from the Battle Sister Squad I got years ago for a some forgotten project or other.

He chose the colours and did the base layers, I did the details and shading. He's very happy with her, the colours he chose work well despite being not at all Sororitassy. Adeptus Scotoritas with the flag cape he wanted (Order of St Margaret as suggested by @Karandrassh).

I tried to convince him he wanted an urban base so I could nick her as an Inquisitor or something on Necromunda, alas the kid thinks static grass is the bestest thing ever so we compromised on overgrown concrete.

Still going to pinch her.

Those metal SOB have some terrific faces. One among them pulls a grenade pin with her teeth. I chose to give all of them red hair and it´s funny when you consider that all they are doing during the day is burning witches.

I've been building a Pillage Shieldmaiden warband (Gripping Beast set for Saga) and an undead warband from Wargames Atlantic skeletons.

The latter didn't come with bases so I got some cheap laser cut MDF ones and they absolutely stink, they stank out my hobby cupboard and seem to infuse everything near them with smoke, so I constructed Stoof's Patent Pending Stanky MDF Aeration Basket™.

They've been swinging on the washing line all day and have lost most of the smokey smell.

Yes, for some spooky Pillage - someone's disturbed a barrow/pagan sorcery/legends type stuff.

Mainly I bought a box of them because I was feeling nostalgic about the old GW bone coloured skeleton sprue and this one is fairly similar, and by chance they were on discount as the box was damaged.

It's just a happy coincidence that the box can be assembled as a perfectly functional Pillage warband. Admittedly nobody is in full armour... but gold saved on armour is gold you can spend on more spearskellies!
