How do you interpret this experience reward. I've flip flopped between literally anyone that fights gets the d6 (which I think is RAW) and on the other hand only giving it to fighters that didn't go out of action.

In GCE we instead changed the scenario wording to:
"Any Warrior who was on the Battlefield at any point during the Scenario"

After all - if they didn't survive then they're removed from the roster so experience points are meaningless.

Not giving experience because someone went Out of Action seems needlessly harsh to me, particularly as they did survive - unless they died, in which case see my previous point

In Necromunda 1995 it specifically states: "Even fighters who are wounded and taken out of action receive experience for taking part."

Given that they're basically the same game, I'd say, if they took part and didn't actually die, they get XP.

Yup, I agree with the above. They get it even if taken OoA, so long as they didn't actually die (in which case, it would be pointless).
