Hi guys!
I just started my personal project for Necromunda: it's a Lovercraftian genestealer cult gang, using the cawdor emperor cult as a cover for their dark aims.
Afther a couple of days kitbashing, I'm starting to underatand where I am going, thingare still is in early W.I.P, missing all the green stuff robes additions.
Hope you like it!

If anything come to your mind, don't esitate... I share theese wip because I would like to have feedbacks and know if i am going in the right direction with this gang, so you're welcome to be rude!

Stay tuned for more progress, waiting for more green stuff to finishing up something.

This is gonna be awesome - the GSC Neophyte Models are great, still thinking whether I'm gonna have to start a Stealer Cult Gang as well. I am definitely considering kitbashing with cawdor parts as well.

I really like the Acolythe with hand flamer and the boss model, love that head and all the stuff hanging from his neck. Not sure about the standard bearer, but makes sense to use that head at least once if you're going for a Lovecraft-Theme.

The ganger on the far right might look better with a smaller firearm such as autopistol. If you want him to keep the autogun you might want to consider having him carry it in both hands. Theres great autoguns/arms in the cawdor sprue. Would suit the pose better I think. But then again, that's just me.

I did not say it doesn't fit the theme, besides that it's perfectly fine to disagree with me. It is the one GSC head that fits this specific theme pretty well, but I don't really like it that much, I prefer the 3rd or 4th Generation Cultists that look almost human. Personal taste I guess.

Then I hope you like theese new one... I want this gang do be a secret cult, using Cawdor as a facade. So most of the gangers will be pretty human, with mutations covered by robes and capes... the one model you refering to is quite an exception, as you say I had to use that head to fit the theme better, and I love that head from the aberrants kits...lot better than the Acolyte's one.

Here some more wips, next on the list is starting to work with the green stuff, hopes all it comes togheter well enought...

I know you didn't say the standard bearer doesn't fit the theme. I was disagreeing with the bold part. That's all.

@Raegon are you going to greenstuff anymore face tentacles? in a small gang of individuals, I understand not using another one of the same heads (ie. the standard bearer) but maybe some small ones? like a tentacle moustache or goatee? (it's something i could never pull off with GS. my GS skill is limited to soup...)

I'd like to not going to off with mutations with most of the gangers... the mutations are limited to the ones of the most inner circle of the cult, and most lf them covered. The icon barer, as the oldest member of the church, is an exception.

Some weekend updates

I really like the mix of Cawdor and GSC bits.

I notice some still appear to have gaps on the shoulder/neck, where the front and back torso meet. For instance, look at the standard bearer, between his left shoulder and head. You've done great things with the green stuff, so you might want to fix those gaps before you start painting.

I really like them. Cool details such as crossbow webber. The two kits really seem to fit well with each other. Looking forward to seeing the whole gang. I assume you will use Genestealer Cult Rules for them?

yes, yes, I forgot to mention that I'm waiting for liquid green stuff to fix all thoose little bitch gaps :D

Thanks a lot, yes i will be using genestealer cult rules, but I'm planning for some new years addittions to make this gang also playable as Cawdor (with differents champions and some unique equipped gangers)

I would strongly recommend a product called "plastic putty" (surprise, surprise) by Vallejo. Great ready-to-use filler for gaps.

I tried liquid GS when it was introduced years back but never found it to be really useful. The aforementioned Vallejo product comes in dropper bottles like their paint ranges and can be worked with some water and an old brush or some modelling tool (if possible, I even use my fingers to get smooth surfaces). I tend to think it dries quicker and harder, so you could trim it down with a scalpel or
maybe files / sanding paper.

If Liquid GS is your product of choice, please go with it. Personally, I don't see any use for it.

Brilliant gang!!

I’d second avoiding the Liquid Green stuff though, or green rubber, as it will be after about two months. ;)

The Vallejo stuff is ok but I like Milliput. The two part putty. Why?? Well you can use as is to bulk out filling areas, you can blend it with actual GreenStuff to make a composite putty which sets harder than GS alone but more pertinently for your purposes you can make a tiny ball of it and it mixes well with a drop of water into a paste which is excellent for gap filling.
