Necromunda The ClockworkOrange Troll Lol Lol Lol Song

Found some tubing for the rail so stuck the doors on and then I knocked up some quick windows in TinkerCAD and printed them off. Much easier and more regular than trying to cut them from sheet Foamex sheet.

might make the doors wooden with coffee stirrers and then call it a day.

Towers turned up and been thrown together, it’s not bad for £10 to £15 squid! plus I’ve started detailing the hanger doors with coffee stirrers. I’m going to have to go nick some more tomorrow when I buy a coffee…..

Im going to add a corrugated roof and plaster the walls to match the local mud huts.

Wall filler is a modellers greatest tool. Covers all the unwanted stuff up nicely and looks great painted in numerous ways.

I think the tower looks pretty cool, if a little top heavy, are you gonna give it the foamex base treatment??

Alas, it turns out I’ve decided the scale looked off and it was too rustic for ze Germans, so I’ve upgraded the door to the mighty Al Kaseltzer airbase control tower.

Was going to print something but a swift self flagellation to ensure the old skills are upheld was the route chosen.

The Tribemeet committee were chatting about what a North African airfield should look like and we decided the one I’m building is the one in our heads 🤣 the real ones seemed to just be tents!

However after a quick google I decided it’s much much cheaper to use old school skills to make them rather than buying or printing. Guessing material costs are a couple of £, however it’s effectively zero I’ve used stuff left over from other projects.

Once that’s all dry, I’ll add some tent pegs stuck to the sides from something suitable, and then call it ready for paint.

Trolls still struggling at the mo for motivation, but I have got some base coats on the Airfield!

And then I brought a new project on holiday with me, a Yakmen gang! but damn GW these “new“ kits are ridiculous! why does a simple body part need to come in three parts!? a head with separate horns? Meh! I’d happily lose some detail if they made em the old way.

Likewise, I got my new striking scorpions whilst on holiday, looked at the sprue and haven't tackled them yet. A daunting number of faffy little parts.

I’m itching to stencil some markings on the runway but I’ve no idea what ze Germans may have done? Not that the tribes venture into Bolt Action WW2 is a 100% accurate but I do like to at least pretend an interest 🤣

I vote a massive swastika and a zebra crossing.
You’ll get us both banned you just know I’d have to use lots of colours……

Also we have already established this is one of those bases the SAS attacks it must therefore have a runway to drive down, hangers and huts!
