Hi folks,
It's been over four years since I last posted on here and how things have changed. My last log was documenting my attempts to convert a plastic Escher gang out of DE models.
Today is my birthday and I've got the day off work. I've spent it playing with a sprue of Cawdor gangers my wife kindly bought me.
Because I wasn't sure if Necromunda would take off in my gaming group, I only asked for one sprue of five guys as a bit of a modelling/painting project. As you may have guessed from the title, I'm planning on a fairly muted green colour scheme.
For this first post, I'm showing off two WIP gang members I made using spare bits from the sprue and plastic Chaos Cultists. Given that there are only six heads on the sprue, I'll probably only make seven dudes from this one sprue.
The first is a simple autogun mook. The base model is the cultist leader, who was born to be Cawdor conversion fodder. His shoulders need a bit of GS and I need to clean the mold lines and finish removing the Chaos stars, but it was a fairly easy weapon swap, but I feel like it completely changes the silhouette of the original model.
The next ganger is the chap with the massive crossbow.
The Cawdor sprue comes with six torsos but only five sets of legs. I immediately took this a challenge and after an hour or so, this chap was born.
He is based on the cultist with the flail. Again, he needs the mold lines cleaned and a bit of GS under his arms to fill in a few gaps, but I'm pretty happy with how he turned out.
Finally, like all good projects, this one started with Khorne claiming his due. I threw a bit of super glue over the slice and it was all good.
C&C Welcome.
