The Grim Dark North East (UK)

Yeah definitely although I will warn you I work shifts + occasional overtime so I'm not the easiest person to accommodate time wise.

Saturday afternoons in October will probably be fine with enough notice.

I do drive, so does everyone I game with if they get interested (I'm working on it) where abouts are you based?

Good stuff!
I would struggle for a Saturday afternoon, (weekends are my busy time) but could you make a Monday or Tuesday evening/night?
How about you @Patch? Is that ok with you?
What I would like, if we could get regular attendance (once a month initially), is that we could have it at different locations each time so that no one is having to travel any more than anyone else! What I mean is, I don't mind searching out new venues if I know people are going to show!
But the venue I know we can use is just a couple miles outside durham, I help run the pub so it wouldn't cost anything, and I store all me stuff there so all that would be required is your minis and your lucky dice!
This is such a distraction from my yakday preparations but I just love it!
It would be pure class to have a home group to get regular games with!
:):)

I'm fairly easy when it comes to time - weekday evenings would be fine for me. I'm about 10 minutes away from Durham in the car so that's fine for me.

I'm the same though, I'd love nothing more than a decent local group to play some necromunda with. There's plenty of clubs near by but they're all 40k et al focused.

Cool well for a Monday it would have to be a week I'm on day shift, so I could do 1 out of 3. Tuesday is no good right now because my wife does pregnancy yoga on Tuesdays .

What pub is it? There is a gaming group near mine but it's not open long enough for decent games so we really just play at each other's houses.

I'm in Hetton, so I'm fairly local, unless you're all on the other side of Durham. I have a (very badly painted and glued) Pit Slave gang, and I can be free most weekday evenings except Mondays, and I can potentially make time on a weekend if I know in advance.

So between the four of us (@CaptainDangerous @Patch @pressure @ardavion ) is durham North a viable area for everyone, and would a Wednesday evening work?
I know 100% that I can't get my pub on the weekend, but if I ask about I would be able to get somewhere, if that was a better option for all, it's just it might be afew quid each if folks are willing!?

Yes I live in north Durham so that's great. Wednesday is currently a bit awkward but I should be able to change my commitments to another day, as long as we can organise around my shifts that would be great.

Don't have any models right now because I'm waiting for the new releases but I'll probably play cawdor

I can't do this week or next - finishing sorting out and going on a holiday - and my Wednesday may eventually become unavailable, but for the foreseeable future I should be OK.

I am on days this week, lates next week and nights the week after. It rotates like that perpetually except it skips weeks for summer and Christmas holidays. It sounds complicated but really isn't too bad.

Days are best for me can get there at a reasonable time and stop until I want. Nightshifts are doable but I'd have to leave 9:30pm ish no matter what state the game is in.

Late shifts I can't do at all.

What rulebook does everyone prefer? I have both printed versions but honestly I like the community edition the best.

Awesome stuff! :)
So if we pencil in the 27th September at my pub (address in first post of this thread) between 5pm-10pm, and we'll go from there!
In the meantime I'll try and find somewhere in the Chester area and I'll keep you all updated!
I'm easy to play either ORB or NCE, tho I'm a lot more comfortable with the first!
And I might just have a Cawdor gang lying about somewhere pressure .......do you like the colour blue? ;):D

The colours not a big deal I'll take anything. I'd have my own done by Christmas hopefully. My old one was orange I can't believe someone bought it

The rules between ORB and NCE are really similar they have just balanced a few things, reworded things to make more sense, and added cool new scenarios and guns and stuff. But it's the same game at its core.

What Gangs will everyone else play?

Edit: also the whole point of this reply was to say I've pencilled in the 27th

I'll be running an orlock gang too! A combat oriented crew called The Wannamingo Family! They are very distantly related to Scooter from borderlands .....or is that closely related?..... Ah what's the difference eh? :p:D

All are welcome! The more the merrier! :)
Hopefully we can make a tribesman out of him! Thanks for letting me know, if we get more interest I'll definately have to look out for a bigger place! (y)

And the Cawdor gang is just the bog standard out the box set! Plus one auto gun orlock convert if you wanted to write up a roster? When I get back from peterborough I'll take some pics and show them off in the captains log!

I look forward to seeing your orlocks.

Ive written up a list using the Cawdor box gang but not using all the cash so when I get my own models I can give them what I want. Ive found a model in my bits box I'm going to use as a stand in leader until GW bring the new set out.

edit: are we going to write up our rosters together for all the random stuff like territories and starting exp?

Cool stuff!
If everyone just wants to write their lists up (territories, exp & all) before hand, then we can just get cracking with the action!
If anyone feels like cheating then that is up to them, but I certainly won't be and trust that you all feel the same way! :)
(........let the dice gods take vengeance upon the man who starts with a mineral outcrop, a friendly doc, a spore cave, a gambling den and an archeotech hoard!) :p:LOL:
What everyone can be thinking about tho is a good theme for a campaign! Feel free to discuss ideas and inspiration here (perhaps describe your gang and what turf you have rolled up?) and we'll come to a joint agreement when we meet! :D
(Like, first order of buisness wat wat! :p )

Yeah that's fair. It wouldn't be worth the wrath of the dice gods to cheat, because the dice gods love me usually don't be surprised by the amount of times my juves beat your hardest gangers in close combat

I was talking to my brother the other day about a cool idea for a campaign. If the campaign has an arbitrator (like a GM) they could add in random events and sort of role play decisions for players to make that either swings them towards good or evil, and there can be 2 background factions, like for example arbitrators and stealer cult, and it climaxes in a massive battle depending on which gangs have swung to which side. Might be a bit much work to start with but could be added in later.
