The life of RonBSM- Youtube, Family: The BLOG

Made @ryanBSM his own paint station. His wet palette will arrive tomorrow and my ordered dropper bottles too so I can transfer my citadel paints into them and he'll just borrow the colors he needs to paint with until he (probably never, because why would he with me around?) gets his own.

I'm gonna add some pvc pipe cuts to the little shelves sticking out at the side for his brushes.

Just needs a few downpipes and graffiti, then it will be not only a paintstation but a nice terrain feature :)

My new beauty. After a really, REALLY shitty couple of weeks and a bit of a funk with the mini side of things... this handsome (albeit bad tempered) chap has lifted my mood.

Meet 'Blue' the Chromatapelma Cyaneopubescens (Green Bottle Blue tarantula).

So these are all my doubles in the paint collection... these are going on the shelf after...

... I spent the afternoon transferring all the paints (apart from any inks, glazes, technical and contrast paints) into dropper bottles.

I will say that buying a box of stainless steel agitators (balls), small funnels (20?) and everything else really helped. I also noticed that GW pots being "full" equates to about 9ml of paint on average in a 12ml bottle, as I was adding water to the paint to pre-thin them (I added 2ml to 3ml on average) and that was giving me about 12ml in the 15ml dropper bottles.

Knowing how little waste occurs and lack of drying out with dropper bottles I reckon the cost of all the bits I purchased to do this I think that in dried out paints being replaced and so on Ove saved the costs several times over already.

So, yeah.

Been a while since I last posted. Having some mad down in the dumps funks this last month or two. So much going on that its just exhausting and its gotten to the point where no matter how much I WANT to do stuff, by the time I try to get to it (like literally ready to start) the motivations just flee.

Its made harder to explain by not having specific triggers other than to say one minute I'm geared up and then suddenly for no reason its "meh" and I just want to stare into space.

Thanks goes to @undertaker for checking in on me, can't really say how much I appreciated the reach out.

I really need to get my mojo back.
