olympia, wa
hey yall, im a new memeber to the ol forum here and i wanted to introduce myself. im cameron and i live in olympia, washington near seattle. ive been playing 40k and other rpgs/nerd games since i was about 7 or 8 in 2nd ed (33 now) but i fell out during 4th. i only played old necro once back in the day with a guy at a flgs and i loved it but i was obsessed with my gorkamorka mobs. so then i got back into hobbying at the beginning of 8th ed with some newfound time and moolah and thats when i found out about inquisimunda from 28 magazine. you mean i get all the fun kitbashing/conversions AND rpg narrative campaigns?!?! we can play with gangs of rad grimdark minis and i can also be a gm?!?! SIGN ME UP!!!
ill start posting pics of the warbands i have currently, since im making enough warbands and terrain to try and get other people hooked, er i mean, into the game in a totally healthy way. so far all my inquisimunda warbands are part of my gray pile of shame ;D but ill be posting pics of the process from kitbashed plastic to fully painted on a new instagram i started and reposting them here.
im hoping this forum can help find other players interested in inquisimunda (along with other narrative/skirmish rpg games) here in the pnw and around the world and to share my weird obsessions of kitbashing, converting, and 3d printing minis and terrain with all the other awesome weirdos! (dont worry, i consider being weird a good thing).
ive been loving all the amazing pics of minis and terrain and already inspired from them for a few of my own ( i cant remember your name, but your massive hardware store pvc pipe terrain is an inspiration). even in my short time lurking here, im already enjoying the yaktribe vibes! cant wait to hear from all yall yaktribe trolls!

i dunno if the merge went well... it’s mostly in page One and goes New Post, 2014 post, new post, 2014 post, repeat. maybe the post numbers for the two threads clashed and merged?

So since I was referred to this thread a few days ago, I am re-filing my new membership form in the correct place now:

Hello, I go by Leo in real life, was born in 85, and I am from socialist east Austria, where I studied Biology and worked for a pharmaceutical company for a bunch of years before remembering I wanted to be a teacher. So I've been at university these last three years and am studying towards an MeD to teach English and Biology while working more or less fulltime as an IT freelancer for a phone company. How I managed to transition to an IT-QA job specialised on TV streaming solutions from pharmaceutical lab work, I do not know, but it pays the bills and leaves me enough time for university and my hobbies.

The hobby bug bit me when I was 12 or so and my best friend got WHFB for his birthday. Played dwarves in FB until the Old World fell, played Chaos in 40K until Adeptus Mechanicus came out. I also have a mountain of unfinished side projects including, but not limited to a whole Tau army I did not know I had. Literally. I have no idea where they came from, somebody must've forgotten them here. I also played Cawdor in the original Necromunda, even had a fully painted gang. But overall I was always more of a paitner and colelctor than player until I joined a gaming group last year, where I also got back into Necromunda with NC18.

Apart from wargaming, I am quite single, I have two post-college roommates because none of us could afford an appartment this big in this city otherwise, I have a cat, really like mid-90s electronic music and I am really shit at playing the Ukulele.

Hi I have played a lot of dawn of war dark crusade recently and have gotten interested in Necrons and Eldar.
my dad @radulykan has given me some necrons as well as a box of escher to paint.
i have painted a few models for frostgrave in the past and really enjoyed playing it.
im hoping to get an army for most games to play with my dad and my uncle @horuswaspretty and then one day i want to go to the events he organizes.
