The rebirth of an underhive!

Awesome work!
Those dollies are full of potential although being quite expensive

Thanks!
Yeah those dollies really allow you to make your own custom figures without needing to be a professional sculptor. Sculpting cloth and small details is something most people can learn with practice, but faces, hands and especially anatomy is something that is surprisingly difficult. Even GW sculptors consistently failed at making ok-looking female faces until like less than a decade ago!.
Sure, I kinda can sculpt muscle and such, but it takes a really long time, and the anatomical accuracy and skill the guy(s?) at Hasslefree produces is something I will never match, so I really like their dollie options. But they cost a pretty penny that's for sure! :/

New stuff on the way, currently painting up my gang, but I got distracted by sculpting my very own Chaos Spawn!
Inspiration is a sort of mix of Hastur/Shoggoth from the Lovecraft mythos.

More to come! :)

The spawn is halfway done, but I got the rest of my base gang (almost) done! Just need to fix the edges of the bases. :)

Cultists Maja and.... Furiosa! These are modified Hasslefree miniatures, same body and legs, with different arms and heads. Nice figures and fun to paint. :)

Cultists Stan and Jason. Mix of bits from GW zombies (legs), Cadians (torso and lasgun), Catachans (torso and legs), Anvil Industries (shotgun, arms and masked head), clown head from Puppets War.

So the cult is based around a prison break, hence the orange! Also, it looks really nice on the table. :)

Man what a force. Though, part of me wishes that the leader was the one with the green hair, and the green haired guy had the yellow hair. It's just a more "leader" type colour.

That said, everything is just crisp as madness! The king in yellow is gorgeous!

Thanks! Not painting the clown faces in clown paint was a conscious choice, since I saw the heads and got to thinking of a scene in one of the old batman movies where The Joker washes off his makeup, but still looks the same. I thought that was kinda disturbing and wanted my chaos cult to look a bit like that. :)
So I tried to keep the clown-colors to a minimum. I just couldn't help myself with the green hair, I had planned on painting it black initially.
