Necromunda The Sump: General hobby venting thread (Beware: old men shouting at clouds)

There's an article on Spikey Bits. I do take it with a grain of salt. But it says that orders from the US are banned temporarily. I'm sure more articles will pop up shortly.

I do HAVE both Legion (Rebel Scum and darn proud of it!) along with Shatterpoint. Both were gifts and I started painting up both but put them into storage during my move. I haven't pulled them out yet.

One of those is fairly close in scale to Necromunda…. I had been looking at it for some Xenos. But I can’t remember which one it was now…

Suspending orders to the US would be on par with their strange and bizarre decision making like the whole cursed city thing.

If legion is close to same Necro scale and can use the same terrain Im interested on how it plays at small points games.

Legion figures are a bit embiggen'd over what GW uses (though it's fairly inconsistent and some of the sculpts are a bit what I'm heard is referred to as "thicc", particularly Han, Leia, and General Veers). Rules are solid even at 500 points though; recommend deciding initiative based on number of units as opposed to points.

I've got no one to play with locally (and I need more shelf space) so I'm probably gonna try to unload most/all of it soon for peanuts.

Maybe I can be of help:

The guy in the middle left is Legion, the ones on the right are both from the Imperial Assault board game

Dude in the middle is Legion again, but on the tall side in-universe. Guy on the right is IA again.

I've been waiting on a pack of the new Old World movement trays from Wayland for weeks now but they can't get stock. Apparently GW are letting all their indie suppliers down with their latest releases.

Punter: *Orders from 3rd party reseller*
GW: "You fool! You have to buy from us because we've stopped giving our 3rd party resellers any stock! Ha!"

GW: "You fool! You can't buy that, it's out of stock online! Ha!"
Punter: *Orders different product from different company*
GW: "You fool! You... wait, what?"

Height wise, I think that they work alright together as humans are just varied in stature. The only sticking point could be in the scale of the weaponry. But then, you could always just make them Xenos with appropriately scaled weapons. Abhumans? Somewhere between Ratlings and Standard Terrans?

Gotta admit though @SuboptimusPrime in the 4 Cabelleros pic... clone troopers head looks massive.

Ok. back to sumping everyone.
If there is a dedicated Star Wars flavored Legion thread please point me in the right direction.
cheers

For Spikey Bits saying no US orders from GW, I'd suspect there might be a FLGS-centric view to that, and GW will probably happily send product to GW stores or direct to GW customers (with all the delivery charges that might entail).

Can't read the article at the minute, mind, stops with saying there's too many redirects. Just my two cents off the cuff until I get more info.

If it is literally all US orders, that's pretty damning of GWs supply chain. They really need to get down off the high horse of making everything in Nottingham and get regional production facilities.

He's a Mandalorian, same difference.

It looks less pronounced from the front, but that's the price of the helmets actually making sense at heroic scale. When you hold a bare head next to the helmeted one, you can see it fitting inside, unlike with some older Space Marines, who were either proportioned like Hrun the Barbarian, or the helmet WAS the head.

Further reference: Rook Cast.

It's a cool looking model, but if you stop and look at it from a proportion perspective (which you shouldn't at 28mm heroic) she looks like she belongs in Space Balls: The Tabletop Game.

Spikey Bits are very much a clickbait sort of operation so I'd take their headline with more than a couple of pinches of salt

yeah. similar issue but the web page was taking so long for the million ads to load I figured I'd check the rumor mill at DakkaDakka instead.

Is there a market for peeling cellophane from boxes on OnlyFans... might even break even, the shame levels are about the same...
There might be given the amount of times someone feels the need to post a video to one of the Oldhammer Facebook groups opening 30+ year old blisterpacks.

Admittedly the reaction is mixed between people cheering them on and others crying about it.
