Just doing a bit of eBay browsing - not intending to buy but more just a casual glance at the state of things.
Well, the great sell off has started. Theres loads of now previous edition on there, not at rock bottom prices but at “I’m despite to sell this before everyone floods the place” prices. So still silly.
Warboss Recommends: Hold off a bit longer for bargains there.
Someone is attempting to sell the non plastic parts of the New Box set (delivered in 2-3 days! - hmmm) which I don’t think is out yet - so that’s from someone either with a preview copy, a retailer breaking actual release date or a scalper hedging their bet.
Warboss Recommends: Avoid.
A few bundles of 1995 plastic bulkheads appear to be going for less than the card tiles from the 2017 box set now.
I’m sure they used to be at around £5 a bulkhead a few years ago, now they’re down to £1.50-£2 a bulkhead.
I mention in the Musings thread that I wonder if this drop is down to the increased availability of 3D Printed alternatives now??
Warboss Recommends: If you want 10 originals, and you can spare £16-£17 it’s not too bad a time to get them. Maybe look into 3D printing.
Now is not the time to sell your collection of them.
2017 Zone Mortalis Card Tiles. Double sided, versatile, quick and easy to set up.
Seemingly popular now - is that because the paper ones given out with every set since Dark Uprising are pretty shit?
Is it because the New version also has a nastily creased paper mat that even the official photographer couldn’t make it look like anything better than a cheap poster included with a magazine??
Warboss Recommends: If you have a set - keep them they’re actually really good. If you don’t want them, now might be the time to sell.
Badzone Delta 7 Card Tiles - these are still holding silly prices online. Quite rare. GW gave away the rules for these for free a long time ago.
Everyone laughed at these at the time - no one really brought them. Now they never go down in price.
Warboss Recommends: Unless you’re a completist don’t bother.
I’d quite like a set because I think they looked pretty cool - but at almost triple figure prices - nah, feck off.
