The 11th YakTribe Competiton (and final one this year - more info below) is titled: Holiday Spirit aka 'tis the season to be...

@Casus won the 10th competition and came up with a lot of awesome ideas (that myself, Malo and Clockwork have taken on board for the future)

So, without further ado, here is what you need to know!

Create a Holiday themed Special Character - for use in Necromunda, Mordheim or GoMo!

The holiday in question does NOT need to be Christmas related - you could theme the character around any famous holiday - even ones that are not international, some examples:

A Masked Shadowy figure with a love of all things that explode (Guy Fawkes / V For Vendetta)
A Giant Rabid WereRabbit (Easter)

There really is a lot of scope to this one for modelling opportunities!

BUT, we'd also like you to come up with a little fluff / background - maybe even some special rules for your 'Holiday Themed' Special Character too. We'll most likely compile all the entries and add them all to the vault.

There are no extra special rules for this competition.

Closing date for this is Saturday 19th December (so only 28 days for this one)

This is the last competition for 2015 - after this one has finished (just after Christmas) we'll not start arranging the next comp until the first or second week in January.

Any questions, please ask below. @ClockworkOrange will be helping out with any queries like last time.

EDIT: @Horatio_Tyllis has kindly offered a set of his Tech bases (20 models max) to the winner of this competition (y)

But the winner - 2nd time in a row is: @Casus with Krampus

Congratulations to Casus with the awesome Krampus (and henchbeast!) - If you haven;t done so already, please get in touch with @Horatio_Tyllis about the Tech Bases for this months winner (cheer dude :) )

In the event of a tie (2 entries with the same amount of votes) then @djmothra & @Malo will make the final decision.

Can the Competition Organizer win their own Competition?
We thought long and hard over this and we decided that the answer is no, they cannot.
They are free to enter the competition as normal (and encouraged to do so) but their final entry will not be eligible for voting on (and it gives the competition baton to someone new)

To be honest, I never really expected this situation to occur - certainly not both at the same time! Now, although we say that the previous winner cannot 'win' again - in essence, all this means is that we'll defer the choice of the next competition to the 2nd place entry - of which there are two this time  DOH!

I will amend the Rules to reflect this change.

Myself, @Malo & @ClockworkOrange will have a brief chat - and i'll come up with (hopefully) an outcome that is good for all.

Also, please note - as posted on the OP - the next comp won't be starting until well into January (gives us time to get New Year and stuff out of the way)

Assuming same idea can be used by multiple people. There are only so many interesting holiday creatures before it starts getting obscure:)

If my bunny doesn't turn out, I have an idea for santa and an old Beastman chariot (I was considering making a whole Redemptionist Santa gang, but that all depends on what other projects distract me) :-D

Hehe, I nearly used the Futurama Kwanza bot as an example :)

Maybe I should give this guy a go...

As soon as I read this I thought "I can do Santa Klaws on a Slay!" ... then I scrolled down and saw this.

I think I may have a go at scratch building a Ork sleigh as I'm no good at sculpting miniatures. And the best part ... I dont have to wait for GW to deliver anything this time!!!

Just post progress your own plog, and link to it here. You can click the little # number on the right side to get a direct link to the post, rather than linking the start of the thread or page number. :)

My attempts at Yak11 start at this post :-D
