N18 Trading post equipment

Hello Tribe,

This might be a realy simple question,

Is it so that fighters only can buy weapons, armour and equipment etc, from the trading post that is already on their gang-equipment list?

For example, my squat champion can't equip a plasma pistol from the ganglist and he has no restrictions. Then I guess he can't buy one from the trading post either?
I thought that most weapons were available for all gangs at the trading post, but there is no way my squats will se any plasma any time soon, is it?

I think the answer is out there relatively easy to find, but I think I am to dumb to find it..

Most gangs will have details on each of their fighter what access they have. Most champs (including squats) have access to TP, so can get plasma or anything else from there. If a fighter has plasma pistol in it's equipment list, it never needs the trading post to get it, because it always has access to that item. The TP is only relevant for fighters who doesn't have a particular item in their own list. A little caveat here because there are some rare cases where items are cheaper at the TP than equipment list, so arguably this can save you some credits and rating.

In Necrodamus (rules compilation), this is notified by a checkmark ('✓'), so here you can see Champion ('C') have TP access for pistols including plasma.

Also look for the price if it's interesting. An escher has no reason to buy a lasgun at the TP But a combat shotgun has more projectile option than an enforcer shotgun so it might be interesting to buy one for an enforcer gang.
