N18 Trading Post PDF

Things to maybe note (that I assume are also true in the Book of Outcasts version):
Melta's been fixed to work on things without a short range.
Suspensors are the House of Shadows "can also work on a melee weapon" version.
Probably more changes on top of that...

Looks like you are right and that this is mostly N18 Trading Post with updates from Outcast and a small selection of weapons (some of which introduced in N20-N21).

Some mistakes are never fixed anywhere:
  • Grav pistol got AP-1 and Graviton Pulse.
  • Grav gun got AP-1 and Graviton Pulse.
  • Grav fist -ranged (Ambot) got AP-1 and Graviton Pulse.
New mistakes:
  • Stun round (grenade launcher ammo) got rapid fire (1).
  • Stun round (grenade launcher combi ammo) got rapid fire (1).
  • Grenade Launcher combi ammo (frag, krag, stun) all lost single shot. Intentional? Same as in Outcast.
Some quality improvements:
  • Melta is updated as you say, nice quality improvement.
  • All previous Sawn-off shotgun references (before solid was introduced) includes scatter only.
  • Suspensor is back to apply to all unwieldy weapons (not just ranged). This has been back-and-forth between the past few books.
    • Outcast: Heavy
    • House of Shadow: Unwieldy
All gang-specific rarities are removed from Outcast and N18 (some of these didn't make sense because they were already common in gang equipment list as of N20):
  • Mining Laser is Rare (8) for Orlocks.
  • Servo harness partial/full: Rare (11) for Goliath & Orlock, Rare (10) for Van Saar.
  • Heavy rock cutter: Rare (8) for Goliath and Orlock.

Other changes (same in Outcast):
  • Grav pistol: Rare (11), 70. What happens to Delaque paying 90?
  • Sawn-off Shotgun (solid ammo): Common, 5. What happens to Cawdor & Orlock paying 10?
  • Grenade Launcher (krak combi ammo): Rare (8), 25.
  • Grenade Launcher (stun combi ammo): Rare (8), 20.
  • Cleaver is 20 credits.
  • Whip: Strength 'S' (as user).
  • Melta-bolter (combi): Rare (12), 170.
  • Greatsword: Rare (10), 40.
  • Heavy club: Common, 15.
  • Polearm: Rare (9), 30.
  • Power claw: Rare (11), 55.
  • Whip: Common, 15.

Trading Post appendix from ‘Book of Ruin’ is also not included.

Black Market and Badzone Trading Posts explicitly mentioned and signposted, but this isn’t.

So if this now represents the whole Regular Trading Post, and will hopefully be updated, this just means Corpse Grinders CC weapons and Enforcer armour is no longer available to all so no bad thing perhaps.

But also only place to pick up man stopper and frag rounds for auto pistol I think; so think they are also enforcer only now?

Was House gangs getting access to various forms of flak armour a problem?

Thanks to most leaders getting their hands on Carapace in their house lists nearly all gangs can easily just start off with mesh and upgrade into carapace thanks to how the bloody stupid stash system works.

Flak is the weakest armour in the game, it's not a problem in any way. The gang equipment table (fighter equipment lists) is a problem for many reasons, one of which you mention, others being fighter specific discounts for the same item. It can all be simplified without losing any value to gameplay or balance.

That would set presedense for a bunch of other items with the same problem. Or not, if only that one weapon is mentioned?

It's possible that the 20 cred premium is for delaque being able to take it on regular gangers, but I think it's a mistake. 70 seems too cheap.

Pinning on a miss?
Original Seismic read as follows:
If the target of a Seismic attack is Active, they are always Pinned — even if they have an ability that would normally allow them to avoid being Pinned by ranged attacks.
Some players interpreted that a bit too literally as meaning the target was Pinned even if it wasn't hit.
For instance, in this thread:

Regarding the more expensive equipment, I think it's a bit of a grey area.
I do, however, believe that you can argue that this section covers it, even if you could argue that this section specifically only mentions items that are cheaper.

From what I'm reading, it is entirely intentional that the prices of House Equipment differs (if applicable) as that represents how difficult/easy it is for the different gangs to aquire weapons/equipment.

Of course, this is GW we are talking about so it really is anyone's guess of what is/isn't intentional. 🤷‍♂️
