EDIT: WAIT THERE IS NO POLL? CORRECT NO POLL!

I have noticed that several N17 players add the Gangs of Legend weapons list to the Trading Post, when buying equipment in the Post-Battle Sequence.

From Gangs of Legend
"Gang War contains the full rules for creating gangs from House Escher and House Goliath. Over the coming months, more gangs from the various Clan Houses will be added by way of new supplements, accompanied by new models."

"In the meantime however, players lucky enough to still have the classic Citadel models in their collections will no doubt want to use them in the new edition of Necromunda as soon as possible. What follows is a set of ‘get you by’ gang lists to allow those classics to be fielded alongside the new gangs straight away. Each of these House lists will be developed extensively as and when new miniatures become available."

The way I read the Gangs of Legend document, it is not meant to be used in combination with Gang War, so gangs that are already released and using new rules cannot buy items from that list, but only the House List and the Gang War Trading Post.

Currently the awesome Underhive Tool includes the Gangs of Legends trading post selection, which really it not a big problem, as I can just limit my self.

What do you think? How do you play it? Is it irrelevant to discuss with more new rules coming out in Gang War 3?

Word on the street is that Gang War 3 will add a lot of stuff to the trading post. Presumably, every weapon introduced in Gang War 2 (and some more) should be added to the trading post.
As stated in the GoL document, House Equipment List will also be enhanced each time FW releases a new weapon pack (Eschers already have theirs, with Goliaths' and Orlocks' on the way)

Eventually, everyone will have access to a lot of toys, either through their HWL or the trading post (and the gangs of legend will be a thing of the past). In the mean time, official lists will be stupidly unbalanced because of the slow release of weapon packs everything Necromunda related and the "no mini = no rule" guideline.
If you don't want to wait for the core game to be complete, I think the best thing to do is to house-rule an extended trading post with every weapon from GW2, using costs from GoL as a base.

Thanks for the update. I did not know that there were new rules along the FW weapon pack releases. I will look forward to seeing the Orlock get some new weapons. Currently it is pretty lackluster. Personally i was puzzled by the addition of Gangs og Legend equipment. And the solution, to wait until your first post game, to buy from an extended trading post, just seems beardy.

Anyway I am not advocating changing the Underhive Tool or anything, as we might as well wait and see where it all falls, but it is interesting to know how people play it. Whenever there is a discussion about the campaign/meta game of N17 it is really hard know from what angle other players are coming from. What is the equipment and how do you play out the Visit The Trading Post-sequence, really affects the economy / balance of the game.

It's not really surprising, as the pdf is only available from the FW site and not Necromunda's. Here is the one for House Escher.

Yes, it's pretty bad that the rules reward the players for doing something so non-sensical. Letting players purchase common equipment from the Trading post at gang creation seems to be a popular house-rule.

As for the tools, they are permissive by design. If you uncheck the HWL limitation, you'll be able to purchase any existing weapon, including the gang-specific ones (like GSC acolytes rock weapons) or those that have no official price yet.
Maybe having a halfway option (HWL + official trading post) could be useful.

I tried googling for it on Forge World and necromunda.com with no succes, then I just checked the Vault, and bingo, there it was =)

I imagine there is plenty of work in just keeping the Underhive Tool up to date, with ongoing changes, and bug reports, that making a GoL filter should be pretty low priority.

I have gone half way on my campaign trading post and set all of the GoL weapons as a mix of common and rare and have allowed all common items to be purchased by starting gangs.

This way everyone can get basic weapons to start and can get non HWL special and heavy weapons after the first game.

I should add that I have not allowed the new Forgeworld Escher weapons list to be used as it is a major advantage to start with those options.

Oddly enough, I'd lean towards the Gangs of Legend being mostly a bit too good, gear-wise. It's full of a lot of really, really mean weapons and a lot more versatility than non-escher have right now. A lot of that list should be rare, if picked up from the trading post.

Things are very unbalanced at the moment if you're doing things the way I think we're meant to - i.e. Gang Wars supercede GoL, FW weapon packs add to Gang Wars. You've got the situation of exceptionally tooled up Escher, Goliaths who can ping grenades around with gay abandon, and Orlocks with an overpriced Heavy Stubber and no meaningful bargains... then Van Saar, Cawdor and Delaque with pretty much anything they damn well please, and cheap to boot.

Even adding things to the trading post doesn't really patch this unless you allow people to buy common items before the first game - you are pushed to get a first game with a sparsely equipped gang where you want to bottle ASAP so you can visit the Trading Post. This happened a bit in NCE, but it wasn't so pronounced as N17 makes it.
