Sure sprues are useful.
There is still 8-9 banana boxes full of uncut sprues here, with all the pieces still here and 20-30 retail boxed sets with everything in. These sprues were some random ones that had some pieces missing etc., so the best thing for them was to condense them into many bits boxes. I just couldn´t fit those here in any meaningful ways currently. I saved a plastic bag full of the most interesting looking empty sprues for my use. I´m about 85% of the inventory and sorting after, what, four-five days.
Get an industrial drum of acetone and you can fulfil every modeller's dream of bathing in sprue-goo!

Got one mini primed, four varnished this morning also there are few new platforms drying up for photos.
The prophoto dude was here today. I may get his equipment for loan with some instructions how to use it.
Thank you. I even have not used any of the Dirty Down Rust, that I do have a 250ml bottle at hand. Basing with brown acrylics, then dry brush some metallic and finish it off with a orange/yellow ochre oil wash.
I do like a good rust. I have some of the dirty down stuff but I don't use it very often as it doesn't taste very nice. Yes that is a consideration when you have a seemingly unbreakable habit of re-pointing your brushes with your lips.
I have some paints with cadmium pigment so I try not to get heavy metal poisoning by doing that.
This one was on a backburner for months. Now I call it table ready. The miniature for scale is Banana gone bad. I painted it as a reaction in summer time to the US/canadian hardcore scene debacle where End It band´s vocalist got really pissed off at a fan in banana costume at their gig.

Got this one done at the same time. Both of these pieces took too long time in the production cycle, maybe because there are XPS sculptures that my fine art friend made here one time. I haven´t been sure how to paint them...still not sure.
The character is by an other friend who likes to paint these murals and characters.
