TribeMeet2019UK - NCE

Those pics remind me of the conclave meeting at the start of The Warriors. Awesome way to represent the hobby folks, just brilliant!

We couldn’t do it without super generous guys like you and @Tiny and @Fat Charlie and @KungFuPanda and @Flamekebab (I hope I haven’t forgotten someone again ) supporting us with your awesome prizes so thank you so much for what you all do for the hobby too :notworthy:

Edit: And of course @Mad Robot - I knew I'd forget someone!!! so sorry.

Did the mayor of furries rest make an appearance? I went up against her once and she scared the life out of me. I was hoping that she'd be part of the ongoing fluff.

She was safely holed up in her ivory tower with a food supply and some trusted lieutenants, waiting to ride out the crisis. Who knows what became of her during the final uprising..?

yes you do!

Oh, I forgot to get back to you mate, I've had a look and don;t have any of the tank crew legs. Sorry mate! I do have the body piece if thats any hepl?

Unless by some strange coincidence @=][=SW1=][= also asked if you had a spare set of tank crew legs, I think you are confusing him with me :p

Thanks for checking though (I only need the legs, but thanks again (y) )

A special shout out to @Kiblams for allowing us to use his wonderful vertical board!
Personally, it was my favourite game of the whole event, even though I lost. :D
As well as being an amazing piece of terrain, it was just so tactically different to your regular horizontal surface.

Here's how the game went. My Rolling Stoners (Goliaths) were trying to intercept a food parcel that @Lyracian's Voodoo Dolls were trying to sneak past.
The board looked like this I had to somehow cover all possible escape routes from the right edge to the left with only 5 of my gang. And I had to set up first, so I didn't know which level(s) he was going to be on. An impossible task!

Mick Jogger, not being a great tactical genius, decided to take hist two heavies (Bob and Rich), the preacher (Spence Malan), and an uppity kid called Jack the Flasher. The idea was to set up all over the place and hope the Eschers were dumb enough to run into my lines of fire...

Unsurprisingly, they did no such thing. They all set up on the bottom two levels, where only Spence was holding the line.

Thankfully, Spence had his trusty hand flamer, and hid ready to fry the first face that rounded the corner! (y)

This stalled their advance for a few turns (clearly too afraid of getting their hair singed), giving time for Mick Jogger and Rich Keith to execute a flanking manoeuvre, while Bob repositioned. Seriously, this vertical board is awesome! Where else would your leader and heavy be running all the way across the board and down a few levers to flank your enemy!?

Things were starting to look up for The Rolling Stoners! The gauntlet was closing!
However, fate intervened. :(
Mick Jogger got shot and fell bleeding at the feet of the Voodoo Dolls' leader. Spence jumped out to try and shoot her before she could finish Mick off, missed, and got stabbed up the following turn. Both Bob and Rich made a lot of noise, but hit nothing. And Jack the Flasher was nowhere to be seen.
At that point Mick lost conciousness, and the rest of the Rolling Stoners ran away.

Thankfully, everyone came back in one piece, so there was no need to visit the body shop for spare parts

I lost, but dammit, what a ride! :D:D

@Kiblams was such a gent, he even let me hold on to his board for a while longer, so that some of my friends that couldn't make it to TribeMeet can have a go too!

Thoroughly enjoyed playing on this masterpiece also. I sadly forgot to get any photos but a few others were snapping away like mad during my game with @Ned Noodle so there's bound to be some floating around. Hopefully you can make it yourself next year @Kiblams ?

Thanks guys for the kind words about the table, I'm thrilled that it got played on and would love to hear any thoughts on improvements etc. I am hoping to make it next year for sure

Taking an initiative check every time you pass a level to try and grab hold worked really well at stopping mass fatalities due to pinning. (y)

There weren't quite enough ladders to move from every possible position to another. So I had a crazy idea to use the doors that are scattered around the vertical table. What if those doors are all interconnected via a darkened rat maze of tunnels and pipes. A fighter entering one of the doors emerges a turn later at a randomly-determined door (possibly even the same one)!
