Update Underhive Tools Development

Not sure about you, but I like a fresh print of every gang card that has seen a significant change, mostly disregarding xp.

Problem is, its usually just 1 ganger which means I have to print the whole first or second page. It would be nice to only print a single ganger, or selection, even if the planet cries at the paper waste

- The price of a Chaos-Familiar is 45cr, not 25cr. It´s the Genestealer-Cult familiar that costs 25cr.
- In our group the witch only get´s one psychic power OR a skill, not both.
The Chaos familiar does cost 25 credits. The first iteration of the pdf had two different costs (25c on page 12 and 45c on page 13) but this has been stealthly fixed a few days later. The latest version can be found here (I see the pdf here in the Vault is still the old one, but an update notice has been added with the correct cost.)

The Witch indeed gets only 1 free primary skill when hired, that can be either a Cult wyrd power or a Savant skill. The Witch also automatically gets the 'Non-sanctionned psyker' skill free of charge (which is a detrimental special rule mascarading as a skill, as described in GW4)

I agree that it's a little too easy to unwittingly use the Add button instead of the Buy button. Maybe we could have something similar to the current 'Add fighter' function: a single 'Add' button whose behaviour depends on a "Purchase with credit" radio button (default 'Yes').

Underhive Tools bug:

1) The Ganger advances still gives the wrong credit "cost" when adding WS/BS (which should be 20, not 5) or INT/WIL (5, not 20). This was misprinted in GW1, but has been updated subsequently.

2) The Genestealer Cult trade post is not updated with the new equipment list. It still shows "aberrant weapons", "adept weapons" etc., weapons that no longer exist, and weapons that are available for GSC are not freely available.

3) I can't give equipment from the stash to a fighter in recovery?

4) I can't remove equipment from a fighter who can't use it. I have to delete it if I misclick.

5) If a gang has access to equipment through both House list and Trade post, both need to be visible in the trade post. Sometimes, the Trade post is cheaper (see the ridiculous price difference on Incindiary charges).

6) I can't remove armour from a ganger and send it to the stash?

Not a bug, but a request: It would be nice if there was an option to add equipment from the trade post to the stash "for free" rather than paying. Sometimes scenarios etc. gives you free stuff, and sometimes gangers die or retire and their stuff goes to the stash. Having to update creds all the time is annoying.

The N17 summary button that summarises the traits and skills for you seems to have wandered off somewhere. Or I'm mis-remembering and it was there for NCE but not N17.

If it was never there it'd be nice to have if you could fit it into your busy schedule (y)

Edit: Never mind I've remembered why it's gone.

I'm dedicating all next week vacation to the tools and other aspects of YakTribe to get some outstanding issues taken care of and some much needed development done. I'm also off the 2nd half of December so there will be additional time to work on the site.
We love you.

I just created a new campaign using the Underhive Tools and noticed that all commas and full stops were deleted from my campaign description -- is this intentional? I wanted to have some fluff text there, but it's pretty much unreadable like this. :)
I've fixed the character filtering for descriptions to allow punctuation.
I think, the easyest way is to fix this is to simply change the position of the ADD- and the BUY-Buttons. An other - and i guess much better - idea is to delete the add-button and instead implement a new add-button in the trading post. This would make more sense, because this way it would be possible to get (i.e.: find on the battlefield) ANY item with a cost of 0 cr - not only the gang-specific items (in the trading post, you actually must always buy, you can´t add). From the trading post it is as usual transferred in the stash and from there attached to the fighter.
I agrre that it would be cool to have, the add button, in the trading post aswell, but I dont want it gone from the HWL, just maybe make it a diffrent color button, in both plases?

The add button is there to allow for freedom in battles and narrative campaigns to simply add items without purchasing. I've never liked restricting the tools to strictly what is the only way in the rules. However, as stated the Trading Post doesn't allow adding items so it's a bit of a contradiction there. Perhaps it would be best to remove the Add button completely from the ganger editor and in the rare cases where the user doesn't want the credits modified, they can simply edit the credits after purshasing.

I'll look at adding a Print Card function on the ganger editor. It shouldn't be difficult and it's a good idea. Often after a battle, other than xp it's rare that more than 1 ganger would be modified.
I could not find stiletto knife in the trading post
This has been fixed.

Album Privacy and Tools Update

Currently the gallery albums created for gang and ganger images are required to be publicly visible. These can now be change to Owner Only for View Media permission and will still display the images for the gang owner only. This will mean the images will not display for any other members, guest users or anyone else in the campaign for the gang/ganger pages or the print layouts but generally won't affect the gang owner who can add and update images without issue and can print with images, as long as they're logged in.

Apparently the skill association for GW4 brutes was not in place so no skills were appearing for advances. All house brutes from GW4 have been updated and now show available skills correctly.

Yes, this would make the handling better and could help to prevent mistakes (and it´s easiest to program :) ), on the other hand the user has to calculate the correkt credit-value. Yes, that should not be a real problem, but its not the most comfortable way to add items with a price of 0 Credits.

For me this seems to be the best way for both places: Ganger editor and trading post.

Note:
I like this site very much. You are doing a great job here and i have convinced my own and now a second Necromunda-Group to host the Gangs and campaign via Yaktribe. Thank you.

So is the general consensus that adding equipment to a fighter should be a single button with a popup like the Trading Post to ask to purchase with credits? Note that this means adding equipment will be a 2-click function now instead of 1-click.

Hell no, maybe add a check box? If checked everything you buy costs 0 credits.
You could change the add button to this checkbox.
