Update Underhive Tools Development

Or add two boolean fields pays_XP_tax and can_choose_advancements to the fighter type table and fetch them when needed.
Yeah I went this route. Just added the additional field, modified the existing core entries and all is working for advance options and costs between Gangers, Juves and the other types.

If I was going to make a printout option for nice looking ganger cards, would we want them to match the existing size or just set them to full width?

I found that if you make the print out cards a bit smaller they fit better on a standard 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. You can lay them out with 4 rows of 2 and get 8 on a single sheet.

I, for one, will want to sleeve them, so either the same size as the official cards (assuming GW makes some Necro sleeves as they did for BB) or standard card size (63 x 88 mm) if it's still readable.

That's only standard in North America though. Rest of the world uses A4 (210 x 297 mm).

Would you still sleeve them knowing that they're printouts and easily discarded after each game?

How else am I supposed to shuffle them? :D
The idea is to sleeve them on top of real cards (for the added thickness and appropriate card back, if using clear sleeves)

  • Removing advances reduces advance count. Ganger cost is recalculated on forced refresh.
  • Updated Gang editor to add styling to main gang details, implementing familiar tabbed layout from Necromunda tools
  • Added Stash control functions and tested ganger-to-stash and stash-to-ganger/trash
  • Changed layout of Gang editor similar to Necromunda tools. Switched container to fluid and made ganger cards full width below certain device size
  • Added description to territory list on larger devices

Ganger card with weapon stats. Not sure whether I want to have them collapsed by default and display weapons under wargear to keep the cards concise or display the weapon stats always and only show non-weapon wargear like the cards included in the box.

I really like that you have put all the numbers visible rather than on a click down, it is just one less button to press when glancing over the most often used charts. If it were a book, I wouldn't want to flip pages to verify weapons stats, and while that is a hyperbole of the collapsible tab, I think it is far more intuitive to be able to glance down and have your sometimes-tedious-to-remember number spread for what your character's arsenal can do.

I agree with @Kairae: if you can make it collapse into a single line Weapon list, and expand into the full stat array, we'll have the best of both worlds. Whether it should be collapsed or expanded by default is debatable.

What would also be super duper neat is to have tooltips with the Trait/Skill/Wargear full text when you hover them. No page-flipping (or even click) required to get all the info you need!

Can you persist open/closed depending on how you leave it with Cookies? I have legit NFI how hard that would be, so if it’s massive of extra work then I wouldn’t bother

Why don’t you collapse them into a ‘Weapons’ list by default like the Wargear list and then expand them to show stats?
I like that idea, I'll try it out.

That I can do, I'll try to add it before release. If not soon after.

Yes it's possible. Using cookies means persistence on the same browser/profile. Logging in on another device wouldn't have the info so to make it persistent anywhere, it would need to be stored in the database which adds complexity and traffic but still possible.

Would there be any reason to not have them all open or closed? Would it need to be something to store per ganger, per gang or per user profile? I would imagine if you wanted it shown on one ganger, you'd want them shown on all your gangers?

I reckon storing it at profile level would be enough.
That's my thinking as well, so I'll hook it into the existing profile functions.

Worked on the print functions last night making a battle tracking sheet to record the kills, flesh wounds, OOAs, XP and injuries.

Looking good still missing armor for Gangers tested Escher & Goliaths - Champions and Leaders are ok.

Kambuk
Thanks, I'll audit the armor now since I'm releasing this in the next day or two.

Added a Gang card to the cards printout, figured it would be useful to include. Also added ganger images to the card if present. Not much room to add them of course so made them more of a background image in the corner.
