I have made a tool that takes your Gang from Yaktribe and turns the Fighter Cards into a handy front and back version containing relevant rules for that fighter.

https://necromunda.cadianshock.com/

Please give it a go! It takes only a few seconds with an existing gang of yours. Suggestions and ideas are most welcome!

Features overview:
  • Easily copy and paste any existing gangs into the tool.
  • Turn off/on rules for weapons, armour, equipment, etc.
  • Also, toggle rules output types per fighter. Know all your armour rules? Turn them off.
  • Generates a back card containing the fighter's relevant rules.
  • Removes all colours and backgrounds for easy printing.

That's a really useful tool. Great work on that.

A bit of constructive feedback: Is it possible to implement a "scale-to-fit" option? Some fighters with a lot of special rules/abilities, and/or a lot of profiles on weapons (shotguns, grenade launchers, etc) don't fit on the cards. It's an issue with Yaktribe too so I'm not sure if it's a thing you can resolve. It's a bit of an extreme scenario and probably won't come up often but figured I'd mention it.

Attached a pic to maybe better explain what I mean.

Thanks, good point. This is something I had seen too, which is why I added the toggle for the variour types of rules shown. It comes up pretty often, especially on Leaders.

Do you think just having it expand down would suffice? It breaks the "classic card" look and aspect ratio. But, what else is there to do?

Maybe have the side with special rules as portrait rather than landscape? Smaller font or something could maybe work too.

You can now expand cards to fit all content, like this. You can toggle this on the initial screen and then per card, too.

That Cutter is missing rules for the "dervish" ability. First to the Fray also missing from Butcher.

You can now add Wyrd Powers per Fighter from a section. Like so...

And, they appear like so: "Stop Bleeding" at the top.

this is really neat.

I'm working on a campaign with a large skill rework.

This isn't a high priority item so don't feel like you have to do it, but would you be able to do things like custom entries--skills, weapon traits, etc?

Something like:
- name.
- category e.g. (Skill, Weapon Trait, etc).
- description.

And apply your pretty print css or w/e to it :).

Happy to give it a go... but unsure precisely what is required. Do you want to edit the skills, traits, rules, etc so that you get custom output - not my output?

I don't think I'd need/want to edit existing entries, but just have the ability to create my own.

example of a custom skill:

First Strike: once per enemy activation, when an enemy model declares a Fight action against this fighter, this
fighter may take an Initiative test. If the test is passed, they may perform their Reaction attacks before the attacking
model's Fight action is resolved. If the enemy model becomes Seriously Injured or goes Out of Action as a result, their
activation ends immediately, and any remaining actions are canceled.

Done!

Form for adding custom rules.

Here is your rule added. These can still be shown and hidden using the types already in place, and the counts will remain accurate and updated.

Hey guys just a quick note from the moderators-

I’ve had to delete any pictures of the cards that may contain copyrighted material. This material could include things like skill and trait descriptions, or anything else that could have been copied verbatim from a Games Workshop publication currently in print.

Please continue to discuss the cards and offer feedback, the discussion in encouraged! But in order to protect the site from possible litigious actions (we’ve had C&D takedowns in the past for potentially similar features on the site), we have to ask users not to post photos of potentially copyrighted material.

Thanks for understanding,

cardy

very cool. It looks like you are quite passionate about this project :).

Now to throw more edge cases at you:
- how about field armor? (maybe a separate box for this? Maybe nothing since it's written on the back of the card?)
- how about armors that have different values for different facings? e.g. furnace plates. I don't think any armor is more complicated than front/back facing? So maybe 2 boxes--Save (Front) | Save (Back)?

Don't feel like you have to do any of this, just giving you some nudging if you're looking for more things to do ;). The tool is already pretty great.

If any Field Armour is used, a * is used against the Save to denote that there is something special.

Armour Front and Back added.
