So a friend wanted to play Necromunda and I've been busy with real life stuff so i watched a few videos while I was out of the house doing errands etc. and thought CGC would be fun to play so i ordered a box. At the time I wasn't aware of how many new gangs and other content had been added to the recent edition so I assumed it would be fine. More discussion and he says we should play CE but when I finally sit down today to build up a gang and get ready to start playing I see that CGC isn't a pick for community edition.
I'd like to keep them and play them. I have ideas for painting then up and I'm generally excited about them so wdid? Type in everything for custom? Are there templates or something I can use/get from someone? Run as something else? Are they broken and abusive if you try to run them in that version? Should I just run them as another gang?
lots of questions/ambiguity I don't have answers for because I don't have a lot of context/experience with the game. I did pick up that "game balance" has always been a meme for Necromunda. I assume addressing those issues is probably why this web site started.
Neither of us know enough about the game to make a call so a few comments from people with more knowledge would save me a bunch of time and be really appreciated. Thanks in adavance.
