GW Warhammer Free Company alas they don’t make them anymore, shame because they were a great source of Necro conversion parts. You can still get them via eBay but the prices were silly last time I looked.

Hmmm I think you are right, might be Frostgrave stuff I got some recently and they are pretty good.

They are indeeed Frostgrave Crewmen. Not my favourite miniatures ever made (hence the very rushed paintjob) but they're nice enough and should work well for free company.

They certainly do make rough-and-ready looking river pirates or boatmen. Bargemen for those trips down the River Stir.

White primer and contrast paints mostly.
Yellow on all the clothing.
Blood Angels Red on the red bits.
Guilliman Flesh. Cygor Brown, Leather Brown. Apothecary White. Ork Green on the appropriate parts.
Metals are just Leadbelcher and Nuln Oil Gloss.

Bases are VGC Chocolate Brown and Geek Gaming Forest Floor basing stuff. All very simple.

Nicely done though. I've heard a lot of hate for this model (regarding assembly/painting).

Yeah they’re a bit fiddly. Having assembled a lot of Malifaux minis in my time they actually weren’t too bad in comparison.
Painting took longer than expected and trying to attach the tiny snotlings after painting was hard work. Still, really nice minis that will work just fine for WHFB.
