That multi-melta too... loves me a melta, but a multi-melta? That’s happening.
So I'm guessing the knives in the plastic kit were Fighting Knives, not Power Knives as I'd assumed, and which are not included in the house weapon list.
And just to be clear, I have no problem using the existing knives as power knives. I'm just a little annoyed that they chose to make distinctly different ones in resin when there's only one knife option in the HWL.

Haha, Ususally when FW do their photographs they photoshop out the bluetack holding the parts to the sheet of paper, don't they? And typically have the parts the right way up...

One thing I was thinking when building my Van Saar was "man, I wish these really thin ponytail things were both longer and made of a more brittle material, that would be frickin' awesomesauce".

I still think the knives in the VS plastic kit represent power knives, although with a slightly different pommel and crossguard design than the FW ones.
It would be the only case in all gangs of modeled weapons that do not appear in the HWL. An GW in the product description of the VS kit describe them as power knives.

I would love for them to release a 2nd plastic kit for each gang with the expanded weapons list options and some alternate heads and body poses.
I’d love to buy these Forgeworld upgrade packs but there’s only so many poses/body combos that each weapon works with which limits individuality and creativity...

I think this is a case of the sculptors not being on the same page as the writers. One could be a power knife but also pass for a regular knife, while the other is clearly a power knife with the traditional power weapon details.
Ordered all 3 and another load of gangers, gonna use this to build the wardrobe variants of my leader Rex... now to get the credits to fill said wardrobe lol 
Let’s hope so, I really want that goliath bounty hunter that we haven’t seen for ages....
