N17 Van Saar I apparently painted with a shovel

I'll never say I'm a 'good' painter, but here's my WIP Van Saar. I am, however, proud of my color scheme- inspired by the American Garden spider.

I need to go back and touch on some edges, do the weapons and bases (I always do those last anyway). But at least I'm not putting down grey models like some devil-worshipping barbarian. Tabletop standard at last.

Nice colour scheme. Simple but very spider stealth suit ish. I like them. The paint job looks good to me. If you can do that with a shovel you must be winning slayer swords with a brush.

Nah, they're all Moot Green. Which is one of those colors I've always liked and rarely get to use.

My leader and champ are wearing the top part of the mask. The gangers are wearing full respirators and masks. Juve has his mask on his belt.

Not for nothing, but thanks for the kind words. I'm still a harsh critic of my own work. Mostly because a lot of the people I game with have models that make mine look like slapjobs.

My boss always told me you never want to put that you are good at shoveling on a resume because that is a recipe for more shoveling. But your paint application is legit. Not a shovel in sight!

Don't be hard on yourself, these look great.
Those shoulder pads have great pop, draws the eye in to take a closer look.
Must be a pretty fine detail shovel you have there

There is always someone out there who is a better painter (and the internet can help you find them) but that doesn't mean that your stuff is not cool in its own way. Personally, I think they look great.
